Rights abuses in South Africa are high for a country with such a First World infrastructure. The death toll from crime violence is in the thousands (about 8000 people per year). Crimes against the GLBT community are on the increase - particularly against lesbians, who are targeted for what is known in black African culture as "corrective rape". Not one conviction thus far, as most of the society considers it an acceptable pastime. Laws do not denote progress if they are not implemented.

Life is quite hard if you aren't a doctor , lawyer and things like that . you can't rent and live on your own with a regular job. but it's a beautiful country , peaceful if you compare it with another places in south america

Uruguay is one of the most socially developed countries in the world, First country to legalize marihuana, gay couples can get married and adopt, abortions are legal. Uruguay also ranks #1 in highest quality of life in Latin America, safest country, less corrupt, most secular, best freedom of press,etc. So Uruguay legalaizing gay marriage is not surprising at all, It looks as if you don't know much about Uruguay and have vague wrong concepts. Also, notice that America is a continent with 35 countries inside, USA is 1 of them (USA is not America).

You're right. There are Wikipedia articles and some maps around the web that show all laws related to homosexuality (so-called sodomy laws) in every country. But I wanted to make this a positive video and show only the map with the degrees of legalization.
What a fantastic idea (and video)! I'm really triggered by pointing to items with a skinny object (such as a chopstick or skewer, etc.). If you used an object like that in a video to point with that would be AWESOME. However, it's still awesome the way it is!
