For context for those who don’t know the area, this is a small, very poor, rural county in Eastern Kentucky. If you have never been, its almost a whole other world. This town, the county seat has less than 2k polulation. Everyone for the most part knows everyone else and has for generations. That’s how you get the “primo” jobs there like for the county, even elected as Sheriff. It leads to a lot of corruption.

I was taught proper English in school. Im amazed at the incompetency I hear, when listening to broadcasters. Also, the amount of typos and mistakes when they write a headline, or article. In the days of Walter Cronkite, etc. it was unheard of… proper English is a thing of the past. Clear, concise reporting and speech, proper handwriting. Young people can’t read, or write, cursive. I saw a video of twins saying they graduated from college and couldn’t read or write cursive. They realized when they had to sign for drivers license and marriage certificate they couldn’t do it. They only print, barely.

The reporter failed to state that there is apparently or allegedly a connection between a deputy and the sheriff; who's now in custody for un'aliving the judge.

Given the environment that they work in, power and dominance are a necessary evil. This is not Europe/UK. There, most people aren't carrying guns and aren't instantly combative. To wit: I was in Switzerland for business in 2006. A guy from the company that I worked for drove us to and from the hotel. He picked us up one morning and then stopped the car a few feet after picking us up. He kind of gasped, got out of the car, walked to the back, then stood there and got a very firm tongue-lashing from a cop. The cop was super angry and scolding our driver like he was a child, pointing at him and waving his finger. The driver came back to our car and wiped snow off the side mirror. I sh!t you not.

Judge called Sheriff into his chambers.
Judge busted Sheriff's chops about not reprimanding his Deputy for being a rape-y creep.
Judge probably also told Sheriff that there was video evidence of his deputy's rape-y behavior in the judge's chambers. (who in their right mind would do something like that in a judge's chambers? Huh? Was the judge also involved?).
      Sheriff no like-y.
Sheriff told judge to get stuffed.
Judge no like-y and probably informed him of legal action that would be taken against the creepy deputy.
Sheriff no like-y again. Probably said some nasty things to judge. Maybe Sheriff got worried that he would also have legal action against him and, also, might have been involved in rape-y incident or had knowledge of other such incidents.
So, Sheriff popped the judge. Nine times just to make sure that the job was done right.
There were no cool heads involved, so no one prevailed.

Montgomery county Tennessee Sheriff's department as the same issues. My daughter married a deputy that works in the jail . At one point he pulled his department issue weapon on my daughter then he locked her in a bedroom. He kept his job the sheriff's department took his weapon for a year . He has since been promoted. I wrote the governor of Tennessee asking for a independent formal TBI investigation into the Montgomery county sheriff's department and the governor of Tennessee actually replied back to me informing me that we needed a lawyer.

reading the chat for background still how the shooter could not accept some responsibility for managing the horrible employee so the judge most likely let him have it but with no way to penalize the shooter I would think, the shooter has his own disciplinary process even in a small town. Killing a judge then looking like a thug in his mug shot idk man the place that you would never go back to I suppose or a place you fight to keep even to the extent of losing your mind and killing somebody idk man idk this worse than getting car jacked by a mile give me the big city at least I know the bad guys wow
