In this vlog, I’m taking you along on my journey from Jakarta, Indonesia, to UWC USA. An incredible 2-day adventure filled with emotional goodbyes, long flights, and new beginnings.
You’ll see my first night in New Mexico, moving into Mont Blanc dorm, exploring campus life, and surviving the epic 3-day Wilderness Orientation. Plus, my proud moment at the UWC USA Matriculation Ceremony!
It’s been such a wild ride so far, and I can’t wait to see what the next two years will bring!!

# What will happen here will they ask academic questions?
# Is it possible to get disqualified in this stage?
# When will final selection e-mail come ?
# Will they ask for my class 11th marksheet?
# What is their approach of conducting this virtual activity session? they are in search of which skills in candidates ?

Viewing your early UWC journey through the lense of your camera feels so surreal.... TT. UWC USA seems like such a blast!! I can't help but wonder how I'd look standing beside foreigners with my height reaching barely 5'2 feet, LOL. I'm applying this year with UWC USA as my second pick! I'm really excited, yet so nervous. I wonder if I'm good enough or worthy to stand beside all these amazing people, like you, and be part of UWC :((

Don't worry about your height wkwkw, standing beside people from all over the world is more about celebrating our differences and less about how tall you are! Wish you the best of luck for your application this year, just trust yourself and you are enough!
As for your question, there is no special requirement for the scholarship. If you apply through the National Committee, everyone goes through the same process, whether or not you receive or want a scholarship. So just focus on giving your best throughout the selection process!

my grade 9 result was above 90 but my grade 10 result is 85 can I apply ,what is GPA requirement for getting in to uwc ,
I’m not fully sure since there are two ways to apply to UWC, through the Global Selection Program or via a National Committee. Based on my experience applying through Indonesia’s National Committee, It is recommended to have a minimum average score in the most recent semester:
• 80 (out of 100)
• 4 (out of 7, if using the IB grading system)
• B (if using the letter grade system)
• 3.33 (out of a 4.0 scale)
So it depends on how you’re applying and which National Committee you’re applying through, as each may have different requirements. I recommend checking directly on their website or social media for the most accurate and detailed information.

How much pocket money you spend or need monthly?
Generally, you don’t need to spend money monthly since the school provides almost everything, including meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) and even essentials like laundry detergent (at least here at UWC-USA). So, pocket money isn’t necessarily required on a regular basis.
However, if you want to buy extra snacks or personal items, you can bring some money to spend at Walmart. Around $50-$100 is usually enough for one trip. At UWC-USA, we also have the option to open a bank account, so your family can transfer money to you through that account if needed. Hope this helps!
Hello brother, my application just got selected and now I am confused about the interview. Actually, in USA a lot of my relatives live and I want to go to UWC USA can you tell me how to highlight this in interview also how much time it will take to go there and start studies. currently I am a 11th grader in India would I go for my 12th class only?! ... Instead, emphasize what UWC USA can offer that stands out compared to other UWC schools. Highlight how its unique programs align with your goals and aspirations. As for your question about grades, regardless of your current grade when you’re accepted, all UWC schools follow the IB curriculum, which requires two years of study. So you’ll need to complete two additional years at UWC.

According to my research UWC Canada is best for Further medical education what about UWC USA?!
Currently, I have chemistry, physics and biology as my main subject and three additional subjects would I be able to continue these?!
And for the interview I'll just be myself and answer their questions politely is there something else to keep in mind?!

I believe UWC-USA can definitely support your pathway to medical education. We offer Chemistry, Physics, and Biology, which are essential for your goals. Additionally, there’s the Environmental Systems and Societies course, which bridges Group 4 (sciences) and Group 3 (humanities), allowing a broader perspective that could complement your studies. We also have Digital Society under Group 3, which might be valuable since modern medicine increasingly integrates technology and data science.
One advantage of UWC-USA is that it’s based in the U.S., so obtaining your visa for studying here also positions you well for transitioning to U.S. universities. The Davis UWC Scholars Program partners with numerous U.S. universities, offering automatic scholarships if you’re accepted to one of the participating institutions.
As for the interview, being yourself is key, and your idea to answer politely and thoughtfully is spot on. To add be clear and concisem, make sure your answers are structured and to the point. I passed interview stage and what to do next in virtual activity session? I left another comment on this video pointing out my questions. Well in interview I highlighted uwc USA as much as I could and now it's their Choice and I appreciate it. Btw thank you for the information it's really helpful ☺️.
How much is this cost brother? And how percent scholarship/financial aid you get?
Every UWC school has different costs, and you can check the details here, www.uwc.org/ibdp/fees-and-scholarships. If you’re applying through a National Committee, you’ll also be considered for scholarships. And don’t worry, they often provide scholarships based on your family’s financial situation, considering what your family can reasonably contribute.
If the scholarship amount doesn’t fully cover what you need, you can always negotiate with the school or explore third-party options to help cover the remaining fees. Hope this helps, and good luck with your journey!
