Hello my friend. Good to see you both again. Stay safe and Blessed. Love to watch you both Crabbing
Always nice hearing from you Sandra and Thanks a lot for Watching
Wow Ms Joyce. You are amazing, your meals looks so amazing. It seems like you have a endless cookbook in your head. But what's amazing is how Mr Sam can stand there and record without sticking his fingers in there and helping you taste your food 😅😅😅. Oh yeah your grits and grunts were awesome too 😊.
We got married when we were 19 and I've been eating like that ever since so I guess I'm spoiled lol. You're right about Joyce having all those recipes in her head, I tell her to write it down In case it's great, so sometimes she does. Thanks for Watching our videos.
Another wonderful educational experience 👍. Thank you for sharing this great educational experience.
I love watching you both catching crabs. Love your banter and your relationship
Thanks, we're glad you enjoy our videos and Thanks a lot for Watching
OMG, I would love to try Joyce's cooking for sure. I bet the black stone gives great flavor with the great seasoning she uses. You are so spoiled. I take that back; you both make the delicious meals happens for sure. My husband and I want to come to Florida (family in Miami) and try to do the same amazing catch and cook you do. The thing is we will be beginners compared to you professionals. Keep sharing your videos and we will keep learning and drooling over your fabulous videos for sure. Take care from North Carolina; Mike and Jamie (with 2 grown kids and 3 grandkids). Take care .
You have some good fishing along the coast of North Carolina. You're right the Blackstone brings out the flavor of any seafood. Thanks for Watching our videos
Love watching you guys go crabbing and eating what you catch. Will join you guys in the "75" club in a couple of months, which is not old just "experienced".
Thanks, we're glad you enjoy our videos and happy early Birthday
Hello!my favorite couple 😊I am so sorry that I missed y'all last week 😢but I know I wouldn't be disappointed with what I will get today 🦀🦀👍God bless and stay safe 🙏 ❤️
We're glad you're back and Thanks a lot for Watching our videos
Hello my favorite people looks absolutely 💯 delicious till next time Poppa Poppa Sam Momma Joyce yall take care
We just came in from the beach with the grandchildren. That looks great. We enjoy your videos
Thanks, when we take our grandkids to the beach we have to do some surf fishing lol. Thanks again for Watching
My grandmother used to get crabs down near Palatka on Dunns creek off the St. John’s. She fished out of Georgia boys fish camp there. Nice looking crabs!
We've been meaning to get up to Palatka again. Thanks for Watching our videos
We've been meaning to get up to Palatka again. Thanks for Watching our videos
@@TheOldCoupleOutdoors Georgia boys fish camp has a website. They have been in operation a longtime.
It was such a joy watching y’all again. Looked delicious 👍
We're glad you enjoyed the video, and it was delicious. Thanks again for Watching
15 crabs aint bad. For the bait and time in the water. I think there should have been more. Either way they made a great looking meal.
We haven't set any traps in that area for a while and there weren't as many commercial traps set as the last time we were there. That tells me there's not a lot of crabs around. Thanks for Watching
Sending a big Hi from Palatka.🦀
We've been meaning to set our traps up your way. Thanks again for Watching our videos
It looks so yummy
They were good but too me crabs are always good. Thanks again for Watching
Love watching your crabbing videos. Joyce in air fryer put foil and some water in pan under the crabs. That might help with the smoke.
Thanks for the hint, I'll tell her and Thanks for Watching our videos
Never would have thought about putting crabs in air fryer
They turned out good, we were just experimenting. Thanks again for Watching our videos
Y’all are doing great glad to see the traps are holding up good! I bet if we moved the BRD’s in the narrow part of the funnels the catch would increase. If need any help bring them in we would be more than happy to help.
Thanks, I've been meaning to come in and pick up a couple of new traps to replace the ones that were stolen or run over, I'll call first, maybe this week. You're right about the BRD's. Nice hearing from you.
That Blackstone griddle looks like a great cooking machine. Maybe I’ll get one for my wife for our anniversary.
My brother has one, he loves it. He likes cooking breakfast for his grand kids on it.
We use it a lot, Lowe's has some good prices on them. Thanks again for Watching our videos
@@TheOldCoupleOutdoors thanks, I’ll give Lowes a check. I’m tired of the barbecue grill flaring up and burning the heck out of everything. I haven’t seen Joyce make any fires on her Blackstone, lol.
Great video miss Joyce needs to do a seafood gumbo bet she can cook a great one
Thanks Paul, Joyce said she might try to make it one of these days.
You need to get some Lousiana Crab Boil!
We plan on doing some Crabbing in Louisiana so we'll get some. Thanks for Watching our videos
Another great one with Gypsy dust. Sam do not make Joyce mad with that huge spatula, good Lord that is a weapon. The air fryer looks good but a lil messy and Smokey. I like the outside griddle method. Seriously did Joyce get after the swim fins from the air fryer? I bet those dipped in seasoned butter would be out of this world good. Stay safe guys
Thanks, I like the griddle better but the air fry crabs were good yes Joyce ate the swim fin lol. Thanks again for Watching our videos
Old stinky chicken always works the best in traps, stick w the tried & true 👍🏻
Chicken works good, but what we found works best is Bunker (Menhaden). We always used them up north, I used to commercial fish for them using gill nets, actually they were a by catch. Thanks again for Watching our videos.
That 150 yamaha four stroke best motor they make very dependable .sounds just like mine.
It's a very good motor and I've been told it's actually over 150 hp and easy on fuel. Thanks again for Watching our videos
Good Morning, are you staying and waiting out this new hurricane? Please stay safe!
joyce has "chef" fingers... lol
I guess it's because she loves cooking so much and I'm ok with it lol. Thanks again for Watching
Another great video did you get a chance to see if the shrimp are running in Jacksonville looking forward to seeing a video on shrimp in the Jacksonville area
I don't know about Jacksonville but we went over to Daytona on Wednesday and didn't see anyone shrimping. Thanks again for Watching
Sam I think for a three day soak someone was taking your crab at night, I would think you would of had a lot more then what you ended up with.
Were those crab softshell? Boy they looked like they didn't have hardly any meat in some of those body cavity. Still a good meal. Two Thumbs Up 👍👍
You're right if there's a lot of crab in the area, but there wasn't, we spoke to a commercial crabber that had traps set a couple of miles from ours and he let his soak for a week (I don't know how the bait lasted that long). We have a way of telling if someone robbed our traps. The crabs were about average for that area and had enough meat, we threw the whiteys back. Thanks again for Watching our videos
Looks great!!! I just like to comment to get the algorithm putting your videos out there in the ether!! Which did you like better?
Thanks for that. I liked the ones on the griddle better but the air fry ones. Were also good. Thanks again for Watching our videos
Some more fun crabbing. Fresh seafood is always great. Doe's your traps get robbed any?
Three or four times a year, I try not to set them where I know We'll have a problem. One of those places was our favorite stone crab spot. Thanks for Watching our videos
That a new way to cook crab Joyce. I will try that.Thx Eat up Sam. The more I thought about it what do you think about squirting water under the lid and make steam?
Hi Sam.
So i heard you say you dont put the crabs in ice water because they will die. Are they not fit to eat if they die before you clean them. I figured they were still good just as fish Are when they die in ice water.
As long as they are fresh.
Ia that brackish water your crabbing in or more salt water?
Did you see my last crabbing video with the new throw traps i bought. They worked good but not many crabs that day.
Tight lines. Nice video
Ed what I mean is, as soon as a crab dies it releases enzymes and the meat starts to go bad unless you cook it right after it dies which can make you sick and the meat gets mushy. If you put them in ice water just before cooking to make them lethargic and to keep the claws from dropping off, that's ok. When we're crabbing we put the ice in a container so when it melts the crabs don't get into the ice water where if left all day the ones on the bottom will probably die. I actually got sick years ago eating bad crabs. Fish are different, when I was young and commercially fished it wasn't uncommon to leave fish on ice for over a week and they were considered fresh fish. I didn't get a notification on your crabbing video we're going to watch it today. I liked your planter box, using fence slats was a great idea. I use them often because they're cheap lol. Great hearing from you
Heeeey guys I'm here. Let's see what we get today.
We hope you had a great 4th of July and hope you enjoy the video
@@TheOldCoupleOutdoors yes I did. I know you guys had a wonderful 4th with Joyce in the kitchen.
it appears that string crabbing is best over the traps. less effort and no one will steel your crabs out of the pots. 😊
You're right Gail and a lot less expensive, but we just like to go out in the boat, sometimes we do some fishing while we're out there.
Also enjoy watching your videos and have posted before I wondered why you don't put a trail cam up near where your your traps are I think that the viewers might enjoy a little drama or at least put a lock on the Trap I know that they could cut it off or ruin traps but at least we know
Most of the traps are set in open water where there is no way to set up a camera and it would be illegal to permanently close the traps because there's an escape mechanism built in, In case the trap is lost, so it doesn't keep catching crabs. Thanks again for Watching our videos
Sam, you don't play around when driving that boat 😅
I love boats. My dad (a Captain of several types of boats) was worse, he had a nickname, "Flywheel" lol.
@@TheOldCoupleOutdoors you are Flywheel number 2, you don't mess around.
Be careful when boating, have your eye glasses anchored around your neck to keep them from blowing off in a strong wind while moving the boat. I lost a $350 pair that way.
One week til red snapper... Are you two going?
We might, the problem is it gets crazy out there. I stop on one of my spots and within a few minutes someone runs down on me and stops, sometimes within 20 feet of me and it happens every year (maybe I just have bad luck) last year it was a charter boat, a Contender with a wrap, I was re anchoring and he came out of nowhere and stopped just off my stern. I had already caught a nice fish so we just went in. Thanks again for Watching our videos
What do you think you would spend eating out the amount of seafood you eat at home for a month I don’t eat out at if I did it would be good fried catfish and that would be at least $15? You don’t have to reply just wondering
I'm sure we wouldn't be able to afford it lol. and I'd probably be disappointed. Thanks again for Watching our videos
Maybe put some water in the drip pan to add a little steam and not have an incinerated mess to clean?
Thanks for the tip, we'll try it, we're new to air frying. Thanks a lot for Watching our videos
HIGH I LIKE YOUR BANTER {HUMOR} TOWARDS EACH OTHER I LIKE WATCHING ALL THE DIFFERANT COOKING WAYS WITH THE CRABS . CAN"T WAIT FOR THE NEW VIDS TO COMEOUT . TOM V @TERRIBLE TOM 1 .
whats the most crabs you caught in a trap in one time
30 crabs in one trap. It's in one of our videos titled Blue Crabs, 30 in One Pot. I've caught more years ago before TH-cam. Thanks for Watching our videos
Hey Sam. Maybe you should take this video down and repost it editing out the part where Joyce is pulling up the first crab pot and it reveals her name. There's some real weirdos online and I would hate for someone to get personal info on y'all. Be careful on here.
Thanks for the concern, when the traps are set anybody can pull them and get our names, the address is a p.o. box, using the boat numbers or tag numbers someone could get information about us. Nowadays there are so many ways. Again thanks for your concern and Thanks a lot for Watching our videos.
We love watching you two folks enjoying each other's company while you enjoy your passion for crabbing. Thanks for taking time out of your busy day to share your videos with us. 😊
We are just glad you enjoy watching them. Thanks for Watching
