- Steve Hillage and Miquette Giraudy at The Sonic Rock Festival,The Farm, Chapel St Leonards,10.9.05. With Angel,as usual, dancing her socks off.She danced non stop all weekend. We weren't really into techno and trance and all that stuff, but after this we were converted.
Manchester Academy, used to travel up all the way from Cheltenham, worth every second
I was at this gig. The weather had been awful and the intended venue for this gig was a big top style tent in the grounds of the venue. The big top flooded and System 7 were relocated into the cosy function room of the venue. Hence the hastily prepared light show and lack of decor. It was an awesome, intimate gig. They rocked the place. Happy Daze!
Its great to see this footage. Great posting
Such a weird thing. Just randomly googling System 7 and it never ceases to surprise me.
Steve Hoillage, 3 times live on stage 80's in Vitrolles France, one of the best Artist never seen there
LOVE ''YOU'' MAN! PEACE /ONE WORLD........
I used to live in St Leonards back in the eighties. Hard to believe that he was playing there in 2005! I'd have been there for certain! Not really into the trance scene, but Steve Hillage always brings something special to whatever he does.
Hillage FTW! the most important knobs are filter freq and Q :)
Been wondering what Steve Hillfish has been up to for years... until I found this vid (with a bit of help from tpatgod)! The man is still cool... and the bonus is... I discovered Miquette Giraudy (someone I also admire) has been working with Steve Hillage on System 7! Double Wow!! :-)
@mstubbs64 I also am that kid. Though I also got made fun of for liking a bunch of 'Kraut Weirdos'. those 'Kraut Wierdos' were a small band called 'Kraftwerk'. Funny how many of those piss-taker now claim to have spotted Kraftwerk's potential so many years ago.
Yes...I had recently heard the 777 album and was totally blown away and went to the Megadog as System 7 were one of the 3 acts on. I ended up going to nearly every one and saw, The Grid, Ultramarine,Underworld,Eat Static,Transglobal Underground,Timeshard and loads of other amazing stuff then we had 3 kids and had to stop but it kind of coincided with the drop in popularity of the music thanks to the Criminal Justice Bill probably...
i grew up listening to this man, i'd say hes my biggest musical influence.
god bless you Mr Hillage sir.
glad to see mr hillage is still around
Steve Hillage playing TECHNOSPACIAL...

Just back from Kosmic Kens psychedelic Festival in Devon, my god the music was fucking awful I was expecting some great stuff like this. So good to be home and listen to this great live track :-)
The track is "Planet7" from the album Encantado, a righteous track to be sure, but not even the best track on the album, IMO. The whole album is just phenomenal and a holistic experience.
