It definitely looked like his style. Aside from Rain, Taeyang, & BoA, Korean idols, known not just for amazing vocals, but their dance ability, Jimin was also heavily influenced, with other role models, such as Chris Brown, & Usher. So it goes to follow he’d also appreciate other equally well known artists who also were amazing dancers & performers aside from vocal ability. It also goes without saying that Jimin, was indeed heavily influenced by MJ. He even taught Jin to moon dance for Dynamite MV, also Jimin was the one that suggested other MJ moves also for BTS song “Dynamite”. Jimin actually has been known to make suggestions, as well as add, change or improve on choreography from BTS song’s choreo. Jimin already at early age of 10, started studying hip hop at the renowned Just Dance Academy, in Busan, city where Jimin’s from, which teaches all the many different styles of hip hop. There is even a post made that shows a performance where young again 11 Jimin in 2007, not only performed already, on right front side of stage, but later on went in front and did a solo. JIMIN also competed, excelling in popping, & isolation moves, winning every competition. JIMIN also since a little boy, trained 8 yrs in various forms of martial arts: Taekwondo (blackbelt), Hapkido, Kendo, & Chinese martial arts. He is (and has been labelled by experts) a dance prodigy, who is masterful in virtually every genre of dance; on top of that he uses his martial arts to make his dancing more unique. Hobi, while an expert in his style of dance, is not versatile. Hobi learns the choreo from the choreographers and then ‘teaches’ the others; there are plenty of YT videos that show Jimin being as important to the choreography (corrections and changes) and helping the other guys. Hobi, himself, has said he relies on Jimin and praises him for being important in the role of being right along side him. JK is not main dancer like Jimin & Hobi; while he is in the dance line, he is lead dancer, which means he’s less skilled than ‘main’; he’s not anywhere near the same level as Jimin and Hobi. He can dance but it’s not ‘tidy’…I actually think Taehyung has become a better dancer than JK.
