your shawl patterns are the only ones on my to-do list. they are so feminine and LOVELY. You are so talented!!! thank you for the tutorials and making the exceptional patterns available to all. God bless you!
Great tutorial! Thank you for sharing. I'm rooting through my yarn for the right colors. I love how you show your work after each row or couple of rows. It helps to see what it should look like.
You make a pattern like dancing...it doesn’t get boring or monotonous because you’re always changing up your steps. I love it...well done..and Thank you.👍😊
Hello, I was in a knitting shop in Mall of Minnesota and they displayed your shawl, with a free paper pattern. I was doing okay on the pattern, until I got to the puffs and flower and I got a little confused. I thought to look on the internet and found a puff shawl pattern, with some likeness to your name. I thought I could get some tips, but I was so surprised when I found it was your pattern. Thank you so much. It makes the crocheting much easier.
Thank you Wilma i really appreciate your detailed tutorials it really helps as I don’t have anybody else to turn to for help in crochet when I need help I turn to TH-cam & look for people who have a clear & easy to see demonstrations so I know exactly where to put my hook 🙏😊 💖💖
Oh Wilma all your shawls are exquisite! Love the butterfly shawl too , but this is a toss up for my next after the butterfly!! I’d love to have a shawl made with dogwood flowers omg!! Can you imagine it’s not been tried yet?? I mean there’s been flower shawls done but never with a dogwood tree flower??? THE TREE OUR PRECIOUS LORD WAS CRUCIFIED ON?? HOW MANY VIEWS YOUD GET WITHTHt one huh?? You can thank me later!! I have faith you’ll take care of it because your so creative in my eyes
So, here's a funny story. I have been eyeing this shawl for the last few days, but thought it looked too complicated, so I decided that the Ana Lucia shawl would be my next. However, tonight I started going over my possibilities, and ended up starting this one, because I forgot it was the one I had originally found daunting. Now it's past 2:00 AM and I want to finish the whole thing, but have to shower and go to sleep 😭😭😭. I have just finished row 15, mind you, which means there’s a whole lot before the end. Oh, well...🙄
Hi Wilma. I just love every design you create. This shawl is no exception. It's absolutely gorgeous. Thank you so much for your time, energy, tutorials, and especially your patterns. I hope you have a wonderful week, my dear.
This will be perfect for the Hobii twister yarn I didn't know what to do with. I have to say I LOVE the shape. I have problems with shawls not being wide enough without the back getting really long on triangle type shawls. Thank you so much for this. I will buy the pattern as well if it's available.
I'm watching your older videos and I think this shawl is so beautiful. I bought a twister ball also and think it is perfect for this pattern. Thanks so much.
Oh Wilma lol dont worry this was the hardest part..the next two rows.....lolol..this shawl worked up like a charm and its gorgeous..ive made three of yours now..they are the best ones i have!! so talented..and dont you ever stop!! thank you so much for sharing so we can ALL have these lovely shawls!! take care i just love this one!! going for the Vela Flower next....wish me luck!! xo
Wilma you're so talented ! Another stunning shawl ! This is the third one I am doing and I am thrilled, can't stop with crochet anymore ! I used 1000 m 3 ply and it is perfect ! The colours are from turquise to sand and with the pattern it really looks like the beach ! Love it !🤗
I really love this shawl. Thank you, Wilma!! I am making one right now using Cotton Kings Twirls gradient plied yarn cake that I bought from Hobbii. It is 100% Cotton. Your pattern is so beautiful and I cannot wait to see how my blue one will look like, finished. 😍🤗
Wooow. Saludos 🇲🇽❤
Came across your channel sometimes ago. Your instruction is clear and easy to follow. The shawl is beautiful ,❤ it. Added into my project list. Thanks for sharing.
I love this beautiful shawl! I need to finish 2 other shawls I'm working on, but I will be starting this one this week after I get the PDF. Thank you so much Wilma!
Love your patterns & so grateful you make them available for free on your blog; having the video to refer to is also really nice! I've made several things from your patterns & they're always lovely❤! I do have to say I think there may be an error in this one, at least the free one available on your blog. I can't get the same stitch count as you. Row 10 states there should be 60 stitches but I only get 50. Even referring to the chart you provide seems off (chart states 9 flower +3dc but if you count the chain 3 at the beginning as a dc like you normally do, I have 9 flowers+6 dc). I checked the video to make sure I wasn't dropping a set of flowers or something but it aligns with what I've got: 3dc at the beginning plus 9 flowers (4 stitches each, 36 stitches for a total of 39 so far), plus 8 sc (total of 47 now), plus 3 dc at the end is only 50 stitches. I'm certain you get lots of comments so I won't expect a response but I sure hate the thought of proceeding with an incorrect count😟. Hopefully it will be alright. Thanks for all you do for the crochet community 🥰.
Hi! :) I just checked the photo tutorial and you should have 9 flowers in total. 4 on both sides, and 1 flower in the center ch-sp. How many stitches do you have in row 11 and 12?
@@WilmaWestenberg Ty so much for the response! My rows did look right but I always like to double check my counts & that's where I was running into trouble (since my numbers were different but I think it's just that this pattern has an errant count; not typical with your patterns so I thought it must be something I was doing). Maybe it was a typo or something but it's off from row 10. Row 11 I had 40 stitches (5 stitches at the start & 5 stitches at the end, 8 "flowers" (beginning stitch, chain space, center stitch, chain space, end stitch) plus center chain space. Row 12 I had 52 stitches, 9 "flowers" (2 stitches separated by chain spaces) + 9 stitches at the start & 9 stitches at the end). My project matches yours visually so I'm certain it's ok; it's just the difference in stitch counts that's a concern. I do like having a number for comparison to make sure I didn't miss any stitches but I'm trusting the process. I'm on row 28 now & have 168 stitches so the count did smooth out at some point. I had stopped looking because the numbers didn't match for several rows so I'm not even sure when they started matching again, my apologies.
Thank you so much for the tutorial. I purchased the pattern but it is good to see the visual as well. I am creating my shawl with Sheepjes Whirl Slice O Cherry Pie but I love your choice of colour! 😂😊

Hi Wilma. Thank you for such a beautiful pattern. I can't wait to start it. I just found your channel. I always have trouble with triangle and C2C so hoping your tutorial will help.
Wilma, is this a 4 inch tassel? I made this shawl for my grandniece. I will share on Facebook once I have added the tassels. I am so pleased with the results. I used a slightly different yarn weight, lion brand mandala in Cupid, and felt it needed a larger hook, I used H or 5.00 MM , I think. It was a week ago, I tend to forget hook sizes, if I don’t leave the hook, with the project. 😬
Hi Wilma! You have a beautiful name, same as a friend of mine. Thank you for this tutorial for this lovely shawl which I will make a bit later. Kindly let us know what type of yarn you are using, acrylic, wool, blend or cotton blend. This looks like a weight 3 yarn. Thank you.
Hope you like it! 💖 You can find the written pattern here: wilmade.com/flower-puff-shawl
