  • Gilgamesh in Babel Vol. III is the third composition in the microtonal Gilgamesh series, which delves deeply into the exploration of microtonal textures. Composed using a 13-division-per-octave scale, this piece crafts a richly atmospheric soundscape. The melodic elements are seamlessly woven into repetitive minimalist motifs, creating gradual phasing shifts that propel the movement forward. The sounds and textures move spatially-shifting from right to left, up and down-invoking a dynamic microtonal landscape within a multidimensional auditory space.

In this series of pieces, I tried to approach the conventional textures, standard panning, volume, and automation differently to gain experience and create sounds with a more distinct character. However, I’m still unsure how successful I have been. You might be right that it happened in some parts, but since my ear has become accustomed to it, I can’t clearly identify them.
      Thank you for your comment.
