- The each-uisge, which translates to "water horse," is a water spirit found in Irish and Scottish folklore. In Ireland, it is spelled each-uisce (and anglicized as aughisky or ech-ushkya), while on the Isle of Man it is known as cabbyl-ushtey. Typically taking the form of a horse, the each-uisge is similar to the kelpie but is far more vicious.
