- 2 variations of a build for Gaia to get your economy set up to be better than any other civ. Gaia was the easiest god on my "hardest gods" tier list, and this is perfect for a beginner getting into aom, as eco is the most important part to manage to get wins.

Hope you can make a short video talking about the main differences (streangths/weaknesses) or play style of each civilization :)
Playing Gaia against the A.I. you discover a few things about her perks and abilities. Always get all her economic upgrades before you move to the next age. Second ,build walls to give you time to set up barracks and plan your strategy. Most ppl neglect that she actually is the better god for infantry with all the perks provided to buff your human units. If all you have is 10 myth units, but i have 50 human units that you make into heroes. Myth units become giant targets. Do not forget all the upgrades through the Armory and the Barracks. By that point, myth units become supporting units to clear the battle for your 50 heroes and their small myth units. The dryads are a cheap myth unit that is utilized either for defense or to make a push. Do not forget about the added bonus of the special tree you place down that spawns the dryads.
Personaly i do my age up earlier and upgrade everything WHILE i age up
In higher elo people harass early if they scout my delayed age up
Thank you, this is great :) As a casual player I like Gaia a lot, feels simpler than others to play.
I just had some questions
- when should I research that food technology? I see we take the wood and stone right away.
- With 1 TC, i see you placing down 2 Barracks. Would it be better to place a Barrack and a Counter-Barrack? (Barrack we can only train 1 unit until next age, Counter-Barrack has that unit in the middle that does not cost food but wood, so we can train like 3 of that barrack unit and 3 of that middle counter-barrack unit and loose less food)
Ill still figure out what to do from then on, like how many military units to train, the enemy AI Zeus likes to arrive with 2 heroes, 2 Minotaurs and some other units in the second age and it feels difficult to deal with 😅

Having a big wood bank when you hit heroic to spam out dryads and stymphalian birds can be nice

How do you adjust your build order here on lower hunt maps? I've had a couple of starts where the initial chickens + Hunt went quickly and it looked like I needed farms
Tyvm for this, its so hard to find Gaia stuff anywhere and she's by far my favorite god to play with, esp with eco boom into a late game match, she feels great for it
Probably not many Gaia guides as Atlanteans are the weakest on the current patch. I’m sure the devs address this with some buffs soon
When is it good to heroize citizens?
In Retold, I think late game. It not only costs resources but it has a research time attached to it (so your vill is idle, losing out on even more res). It's just a lot of investment to do early. But once you are stable approaching the late-heroic/Mythical age, that's probably a good time so your late game eco will be even better than your opponent's

Early on until you can get your soldiers out. Against Greek players, they will harass you with their heroes. Do not forget the 2 you start off with.

and another question why you say we want to bring oracles home ? why we do that for ? is not that the more far away from each other are the more favor they get?
You can leave them out by there’s a chance of losing them, and as long as they’re not overlapping LOS at home it’s all good
As long as their LoS circles are at max size and don't overlap with each other, you'll still get max favour income. Putting them 2 screens away is no different than putting them in opposite corners of the map.
This is so vulnerable to a rush with it being so late up. Gotta pray the opponent is doing a 2TC build

Is there a reason you went vc instead of tc in this video?
Less walking time and less chance of being stopped. If your opponent advances late you could go for a TC

how you remove resources bar ?
Settings > UI > Alternative ui. This moves the recourses to the bottom right, but there is slso a mod to move them to the bottom left in the mods page. It's called Bottom left recourses.

Noob at the game but I think you have to make a control group with the buildings to select all of them.
