Yeah the one thing I am delighted about......downside since it looks like we will loose CIB as a crisis option I am now stuck with...18 3d printed ones....ah well all my commander's will be rocking CIB just for the sake of it 😂😢
Every t'au player seem to be about it, the only thing i can see is we loose versatility/personality/customization, i know peoples will say " everybody took 6 pack crisis with full cib" but i was playing only in 3 pack with different weapons for each pack, the problem of point price of crisis would been easy to correct if we had weapons with differents prices
The Y'vahra may actually get a chance to shine if it is not too expensive. You can launch it forward and really drive that alpha strike in alongside deep striking Crisis Teams. A S7 AP2 flamer and S9 AP3 Ion Cannon can melt most things and you can freely split fire with it since it auto-hits.. Even the Flechette Launcher becomes a better bolter up close.
@@spacegobbieentertainment4270 It is a Forgeworld model, but not Legends, so it is useable in competitive play. At 210 points, it's currently quite the commitment.
Hey Jay, sorry if you already touched on this, but… The reference images they used for the three different crisis teams is actually each image from the GW website for crisis suits, but split into three. Interesting pickup i found… The suit with the plasma has a shield gen, but in the WARCOM picture they’ve photoshopped it out… chances they’ve gotten rid of shield gens as well?
@@greywing384it could be like what they do with some things where a twin weapon can be a singular weapon with double. Shots similar to how the manta was given a burst cannon array. Not everything is like this as the twin plasma rifle shows, but in this case it would be my guess
The names Sunforge, Fireknife, etc... have been around since at least 5th edition, but probably earlier. My old 5th ed suits are already in those configurations.
We need to chill and wait for the synergies in the codex. Once we have seen the character upgrades we will have a better idea of how good the crisis options are. Just have to hope that there isn't a day one errata.
While I'm not going to complain about strength or anything like that, it is sad that they seem to have taken a flexible, customisable unit and turned it into 3 static, inflexible units because 10th means no wargear options. I had a fun idea of Farsight + squad of 3 running 2 Meltas and a Flamer each which is now not possible with the new crisis blocks. Not trying to hate on it but it does hurt player expression (Even if Player Expression for the last 8 months has been CiB's only). I guess on the upside that unless they mess with something you can now take more than 18 suits which could be kinda fun.
They are going to have to trim units due to the extra kroot and the 3 crisis variants, and they did not show the basic crisis commander - that may mean he could be on the chopping block
Yeah, that combo with the 3" deepstrike strat can vaporize practically anything that doesn't have an invuln. Especially if you get Shadowsun in range for hit rerolls, too. Even with a squad size of 3 and a supposed limit of two Fusion Blaster per Crisis Suit, this should be devastating.
So far I'm hyped. We have actual melee options, 3 interesting detachments, and what feels like some decent internal balance. I'm sure we'll get a Fish of Fury and Mont'ka detachment, the big question is what 5 units are we losing?

A point of concern: "The Sunforge configuration melts down heavy targets with twin fusion blasters..."
Twin.
Twin, but not twin linked. GW isn't dumb enough to give 2 abilities of the same.......I hope
Right, but I'm not worried about it being twin linked, I'm worried about losing a weapon hard point.
I would really like it if they were armed with fusion blades.

Do you think Battlesuits might lose the Vehicle keyword and be switched back to Infantry because they dont have CIBs anymore?
Maybe, unsure though. It would help mitigate bring it down but lose shoot in combat. So hard choice either way. I guess we'll see soon
Maybe they add the shoot in combat to the battlesuit keyword in tau
