I love these new shorter videos! I always want to watch the longer ones but then never get to them. But these short ones I can squeeze in whenever 😃 I'm a huge admirer of your work by the way 😊

Dear Joanna, You have really opened my eyes to publishing and how much value one book can bring. I have been dreaming up stories through poetry, with funny, scary and sometimes strange characters since I was 10 years old with no business mind behind it,no dream to publish, keeping it just as a way of recording my thoughts and bringing to life the thoughts in my mind. I then gave up writing six years after that, because I had to focus on “studying to get a real job” - as most people I never thought that writing can actually be a way of living and did not have a wonderful mentor like yourself to share this knowledge and learn about the writing industry. Listening to you through your videos I just wonder how crazy it is when our parents, the society and even our closest loved ones think there is one correct career life path, and how sometimes we place so much value on money alone - especially money which we can have immediately. I also realise just how knowledge can be so powerful, which is why I truly appreciate your insight and sharing your experience, and experience of your interviewees, with others. When I got my first corporate job just a few years ago I felt absolutely depressed and completely lost; it came so unexpected to me, especially for someone who was trained to be a business person at university for many years to work for a corporate. In my very first year of working I felt that I did not belong there even though I am constantly getting praise for my work, and good financial rewards too. It’s the emotional fulfilment which is missing... My journey on the train back from work at that time inspired a story in me which I have been dreaming to write, and which with the help of your channel and inspiration from other You tubers, and of course the Muse herself, I have recently (last couple of months) been able to start writing that story down and making it real for me. I even learned that I CAN try to write prose, even though verse comes much easier to me and when my idea came I kept telling myself I knew nothing about actually writing the story down. Thanks to you and other professionals like you I have hope, just hope (which is sometimes all we need to move forward) that I can eventually bring my story out into the world, which is absolutely amazing! Finally I go into work every morning knowing that my real self is quickly emerging through my writing at home, and I feel like a completely different person :) and I have you and other wonderful self publishing and traditionally publishing TH-cam inspirations to thank for that - in fact sometimes this is what gets me through a rough Monday morning when I go back to my office routine. So, thank you and I hope that this will be a great reminder for you that all the content you are sharing with others really means something at a much deeper level :) :)

Hi Angela, I am so thrilled about this:
"Finally I go into work every morning knowing that my real self is quickly emerging through my writing at home, and I feel like a completely different person :)"
I know that feeling because I spent 13 years as a cubicle slave doing a job that was killing my creativity - and I crushed that urge to create for too many years. One of my driving forces now is to help others break out and live an abundant creative life - so I'm excited for you - keep writing and you will make it!

I absolutely adore your positivity - in your podcast and videos! You offer such encouragement to those of starting this writing journey. I look forward to embracing the lifestyle of an authorpreneur... once I tame all those self-doubt voices in my head.

I started out by reading Kiyosaki years ago - the idea of escaping the rat race always appealed :) I still recommend his books as a great way to learn about financial principles.
