@@rpwnage7624 Don't get me wrong: 350 is very capable. But the short wheelbase is more suited for B-roads and curves. And SLK is very short, close to Minis and Miatas. At speed I believe it makes the car a bit too nervous. Mercedes steering set up (very self centering) helps, but physics is physics. And as someone pointed out here, suspension is not 100% sport. It is also very "Mercedes school": just the right amount of firmness for serious driving, while still quite confortable. This car is a little gem: good fun to drive, and not too extreme. And the price... Nothing even close quality at this price point. But if the idea is highway speed or long trips, maybe it is not ideal. imho.
@ thank you for your extensive description. Looking forward to buy a 2004 SLK350 with 50.000km on it for 8.000$ right now but from what I’ve heard/understood until now the car should and it’s driving behavior should be perfectly fine for fun but also kind of smooth driving
@@rpwnage7624 Most welcome. I have two (long story) 2005 350 both with about 120.000 km. A 50.000 km is a rare thing. And yes: they work good for both styles: relaxed or fun. The V6 was very modern for the time, all alluminum, and a very flat torque curve. It delivers good low-end torque making for a classy drive. Go for it!
@@IrissFX Hi there, i do also have this car but i have made few upgrades to it. Rear cat is off, custom end piece, ECU tune. I am looking forward to change suspension and maybe do smthn about comfort parts in this car. Just wanna let you know that changing end piece of your exhaust or even purchasing sport/sprint exhaust will make your car sound amazing. My car sounds something like Nissan R35 while i am under 2K RPM, and above 2/2.5K RPM its almost like Nissan 350Z. You should do it tho, i might make a video if you would like to hear that and see for yourself. Have a nice day pal
"I paid for the whole speedometer im gonna use the whole speedometer"
Nice run, looks like you went into dyno mode to disable the speed limiter.
did what?
I have a manual 350. Love it. But I never ventured into high speed territory. The short wheelbase makes me a bit nervous.
Hey, thinking about buying a manual 350. Could you elaborate?

@ thanks, yeah, your comments and personal feedback made me sign the contract yesterday. Looking forward to drive it when I get it delivered. 👍
I find the suspension a bit soft at high speeds. I have the R171 350 manual. My car is limited to 155mph, not that I go that fast.
I have exactly the same SLK 350 😍
Very Nice Car
@@psprofidrivergermany9639 Yeah but i'm a bit disappointed about the stock exhaust sound
@@IrissFX Original exhaust is not good, better what modern have
@@psprofidrivergermany9639 i think if i dont switch it for a slk 55 amg i'll change the exhaust

I have Bilstein B6 shock absorbers, they are more firm and the car is stabile to Max speed
I have never driven my SLK350 above 60 mph... I didn't know it can do that!
👍
Welche Autobahn war das?
Sorry,kann nicht sagen ,
I have the later SLK 350 R172 with 306 BHP . A nice roadster, but I dont think I will try top end in UK, just not worth the risk of losing license
I had the same a 2010 But a R171
