This song reminds me of my feeling of devastation. It’s a feeling so low, you feel shame. “You’ve got weak wrists” It gets better. Just low moments. Some advice. When you and your partner get into a fight so bad there’s screaming, pain and hurting yourself. It’s not always toxic, what makes a relationship toxic is if it keeps repeating. You and your partner/friend will not always make each other happy. You will miss a moment where they need you, they will miss when you need them. You both sometimes won’t ever be on the same page on one or two things. Relationships are a lot more sophisticated compared to when you look at it from a child point of view. Arguing or disagreeing doesn’t mean toxic right of the bat. Coming from someone who grew up around physical abuse in my family and in a relationship now, what someone would call toxic. My family repeated the abuse, there was never a moment of stopping verbally or physically. They never cared to resolve the pain, they never promised to stop. Whereas me and my boyfriend fight. Sometimes we get so upset we do stupid stuff. He’s never hurt me physically but he says things verbally and so do I. Grown up, I realized since I met my boyfriend whether I meant to or not I picked up bad habits from my family. Sometimes I am inconsiderate, come off cold or sometimes push him away without realizing. He does his things. But we both apologize meaningfully and feel remorse and try not to let it happen again. We’ve had some ugly fights because of pain, but we always apologize and stop. Toxic relationships are repetition, causing arguments for no reason, wanting your partner to feel pain, not feeling remorse. Just please relook how you look toxicity in relationships. No one will ever be perfect, love is loving someone through their mistakes. I’m also not saying to ignore toxicity or Red flags. I wrote this because there’s so much inside. I always knew but I guess I wanted to hold on to seeing the best in her. Me and my boyfriend have ups and downs but he is gentle with me, he genuinely loves me and feels remorse when we fight. He feels remorse for doing the littlest thing to me. I love him very much. I care for everyone but sometimes it’s draining to care for everyone. It’s my fault for acting like I could handle the weight while not caring for my own well being. That’s why I listen to this song now, I have no energy to love anyone but my boyfriend. Family too crazy to love at the moment.
