Part 2: • Michael Jai White on D...
Part 1: • Michael Jai White on P...
    --------
In this clip, Michael Jai White and Vlad discussed the amount of billionaires in the Chinese Parliament and how that compares to the United States' Congress. The conversation shifted gears as Michael was briefed on the fatal shooting of Sean Reed in Indianapolis. Michael described police officers as the "Revenge of the Nerds" and explained his experience almost entering law enforcement. He then details how he learned that having a high IQ and being critical thinker won't work in the police force. According to Michael, they're only looking for those who are "brainwashable."

“Listen, I would love to hire you, but what we see is you have all these years of other experience. If you don’t like working here, you can quit.”
That’s it, period. They don’t want people that can leave. In essence, both you guys are right, the don’t want people that can quit. Protecting their bottom line and control.

@ThatBadGuy This is not 100% true. Neil DeGrasse Tyson talks about getting kicked off if jury duty many times, for being too smart and asking too many questions. People in power want to tilt the scales in their direction, and it's best to do that with simpletons.

I had this exact thing happen to me when I first left high school! I applied to work at CIBC (a major bank in Canada) and was put through aptitude tests. They were really IQ tests as I had taken several of these in my lifetime as part of a study of children born in 1953 and so knew what they were. I knew I had aced these tests but when they called me in it was to tell me they could not hire me because as they said; "it has been our experience that people who score in the top 10% do not find the work satisfying and do not stay with us."
I was heartbroken because my mother had worked there for years and I knew it would have been a solid career.

What Michael Jai White said is 100% true. There was a similar case of a corrections officer in New London, Connecticut who had the same issue. He scored a 33 on the Wonderlic test (approx IQ being 125), whilst the national average is 21 (approx IQ being 104).
This practice is ubiquitous in the US, because they want candidates who are most likely to follow orders and not question the morality of some of the unethical practices that is inculcated in the police force.
Also what Vlad said about billionaires in Congress is technically true, but he glossed over the fact that over half the members in Congress are millionaires.
A good percentage of them are multi-millionaires whilst making a salary of around $200-260k per year, which is obviously through kick-backs or quid pro quo deals with the highest bidder.

    • @MrGhostface85
      @MrGhostface85 4 ปีที่แล้ว

Alexi Barona lol. If you want to further lose your respect for cops, look into Warren v. District of Columbia. It states that cops essentially have no legal obligation to protect the citizens with exception to a special relationship (what that special relationship is exactly...it’s anyone’s guess).
Castle Rock v Gonzales and Deshaney v Winnebago County showed that restraining orders and having personal promises from the police dept. don’t count as a special relationship.

Dude he is so right about that IQ stuff!! I went through the police academy in the city college. It was a joke!! I was about 34 of age, BS degree, street knowledge, and intelligence. You would think that's what they want on the force but they really don't. They are looking for dudes & women in their earlier and late twenties, with no degree and little to no common sense. Basically, a knuckle-dragging cop that needs somebody to think for them. If you a woman in general that scored below the lower class level but with bilingual skill, mainly Spanish, you have a 90% chance to get hired with a local police agency. If you a good test scorer but lack common sense its a good chance you could hire somewhere. They have a good system in the academy to find this type of person. The ones who got hired were the top ten test scores, which they weight a lot on but their scenario scorers were low and some of the dumbest people to have a conversation with. That tells you something about what's out there on the streets patrolling your neighborhoods. This goes the same with state CA corrections as well.

Vlad do the research and go through the video of the man getting “shot down” on face book live. He stated he was going to kill a cop and that he wasn’t going back to prison. He’s posted pics and videos with a gun all over face book and Instagram and if you scrub through the video of when he was shot you can see the distinct gun he had on his waste band. He was reaching so the cops did what the had to do. It’s them or the bad guy. Yeah the joke wasn’t right at the end but he was armed. His gun was orange a black and had a extended clip on it. You can see it when his video went towards his waste band. And he also shot at the cop when he was on the ground. I did the research I know what happened. It’s just the point of view the media wants to portray it.

He is 100% Right!!! “Brainwashed” to the max. Sad, but true. I have a relative in “Law Enforcement”, I love him, but, he was a snitch as a kid and he still has that mentality. He’s a follower and because he took an “oath” to follow orders, I’m always careful about my behavior when I’m around him. I can’t trust anyone who takes an oath that would require him to arrest his own Mother. We need “Law Enforcement”, but, according to my Family Member, I have a “Criminals mentality, just because i believe Police are there to “Protect and Serve”, not dictate how one should live their lives. Personally, I make an effort to avoid “Law Enforcement” at all costs.

insomthegreat yeah, in theory you’re right, but, fortunately, he lives 3,000 Miles away and we usually only talk over the phone. Also, I’m not a criminal, so, there really isn’t anything he can do to me. I just have to remember that after 20 years in the military and another 20 years in “Law Enforcement”, he’s been conditioned. The sad part is, these folks sometimes bring the job home with them and it affects their families. He’s not a bad person, it’s the conditioning that happens after all of those years of “following orders”. It seems to cause them to need to hold others by the same standard they’ve become use to. Let me be clear, I understand the need for “Law and Order” in our society, it’s when the person representing that “Law” starts to think THEY are the “LAW”, that’s when things can go bad. We are all human and therefore we are flawed, we will make mistakes. It’s the person who thinks they are perfect and they have a gun and badge that shit can get ugly. Anyway, like I said, I’ve always practiced “Social Distancing” when it comes to “Law Enforcement”!!! 😷🤫🤣😂 be well.

If any cops truly understood superhero characters' philosophy, especially that of Spider-Man (& to an unstated extent, Superman), then they'd realize that with their "power" comes "great responsibility". Just because you have the ability to inflict damage on those you perceive to be the enemy/villains, doesn't mean you are free to or should. It's something I've seen from fellow martial artists. We have the ability to serious harm, but all of them that I've met don't want to even get into fights.

They definitely brainwash you into a certain way of thinking. Luckily I have a black queen who made me realize what was happening. I resigned shortly after.
On the first day of the academy, an instructor asked who in their lifetime was ever involved in a physical altercation. Myself, 2 other brothers, and one white guy raised our hands. 4 out of 30 cadets. I say that to say this. Those who are patrolling our streets are people who have never been in a fight. The first thing they will resort to is pulling their firearm. Most, not all, situations can be handled with less lethal force. We have wimps who got picked on as a child patrolling the streets though. It's their way of getting revenge. Power trip!
