Love this hair !Dougla is the better term to use ,which is indian an african descent mix .coolie is refer to a person of Indian descent .some people may find the term derogatory.
@@KimNaeema thank you. I'm glad I came across your channel. I'm trying to get new ways for my hair since I only wear crochet as I have some hair loss on top trying to get it to grow back. (Came out From medicine)
I love, love, love this style.....and it looks so doable.........I need to see how you finish the braid......I know you input directions because your camera/phone died......but with me I need pic examples also........PLEASE.....PLEASE.... PLEASE!........do another Coolie braid tutorial 😂😂😂
Which type of pick and drop braids lasts longer in good condition, please, - straight or curly? Do you tie/knot the braid when you drop it or do you leave it untied/unknotted when you drop the braid, please? Do you dip the braids in boiled water if you are leaving the braids straight, please?
, I would say straight hair last a little bit longer than curly, because curly hair tends to tangle more. When I secure the ends, I just did 3 slip knots and then I use a bit of nail glue to seal the ends.
I Kim! You are beautiful and I love your hair and I love all of your videos! This is hair looks fabulous! How is it holding up? Does it tangle easy? I want to purchase it but I want to make sure it will last. I want to get the 1b/30 because I like color, but not sure how it would look in this hair pattern. Thank you in advance. The hair looks so pretty and its gorgeous on you!
Hi Hun the Hair Holds up pretty well just for daily maintenance purchase yourself any type of synthetic curl spray or any leave-in conditioner spray a spray bottle of water or any styling foam wrap mouse i.e ORS Mouse to refresh the curls on an every other day basis also use any growth oil for your scalp and if there are any tangles just cut that part of the hair away scarf your hair at night and you should be good to go...
Ur a genius! When U were braiding the hair into ur hair did u use hair from one of the other legs of hair when ur hair ended as the third leg? I hope that question made sense, lol
I'm Jamaican and we are a people of Black and Mixed Race "Out of Many One People" half of my family is mix up mix up, in addition, I have black and Indian mix family members and we say "Coolie" not out of anything Negative or Derogatory but of being mix up hence the word "Cool" as to refer to "Cool-ie" brown tone complexion and beautiful curly hair texture that the mixture of Black and Indian Produces ....
Kim Naeema it is a derogatory term. However we as Jamaicans don't use it as such. It might be okay to call mixed Indians in Jamaica coolie because they understand that it's not coming from a negative place. But in many other parts of the world, it is a derogatory term.
So awesome Kim! Thank you for sharing this technique.

Hi Zari Thanks for ❤ Hun!!!!😘
In Trinidad “Dougla” refers to Afro/ Indian mix. “Coolie” is a full Indian and is never used in a good light lol.
Lol yea its actually a derogatory term, I believe its another name for indentured slaves
Dougla is a better word than coolie
