I didn't install the duster snaps on my 2006 LJ either. They're a massive PITA because they can't hold the duster and winjammer together on their own. You also have to use the front roll bar straps on the duster to take some of the stress. This means cutting slits for the straps in the windjammer. And the snaps are really hard to position on the duster. I had no snaps for a couple of years. Rain pools on the duster and comes in without the snaps. I dealt with the water but recently discovered the other issue of not using the snaps. Animals can get in. Four kittens moved in to my Jeep and used the driver seat as a toilet for four or five days. Use the snaps.
A few months ago I got the Trektop Ultra For JL (Love it!). Yesterday, I installed the Deck Cover, super easy to install, and looks great! Waiting on my Windjammer to complete my summer Combo. Great video.
So,,,imma putting this all together this...but dude you left out few things,,,what or how do the the buttons snap to? At the bottom of wind jammer and cover met? Also there is a attachment you mount to jeep behind seats,,a strip to fasten bottom of jammer to..not sure how that works...incomplete buddy. 😀 I'll figure it out
Hi James, You are correct in that I didn't install it to the exact instructions we provide on these products so thanks for calling that out. I left out the mounting of the strip to the floor for the Windjammer as I do not use it without the Duster and do not feel it is necessary if you use it that way from personal experience. That is a decision that any buyer of this product can make as well with no ill effects. The buttons can be installed to provide a slightly better connection between the two products. Same here, if you do not want to install them, it won't cause any issues that I have experienced.
@@BestopTeam oh man thanks for the response.. im working on that now..button thing is odd and didn't know if in long run maybe damage the material, or really make any difference..same with the other.. I see now why you didn't speak of it..thanks
@@SemicrazyMagatrucker You should be OK without the snaps if you choose not to install them. I don't think it will damage the material but it can be hard to get them to snap together because the Duster is very tight.
With all 3 pieces, does this give you rain protection? Also is it easy to roll the safari too off for days you want top off? Would have been great to see a pix of the Jeep with all 3 pieces installed.
I have a 2000 TJ. I just received a header bar so that I could install the bikini top. Problem is that the retainer strip at the header portion of the bikini top is not the angled style like the rest of the items you show, and not like the retainer strips on my soft top. The strip on my bikini top is straight and won't fit onto the header bar What header bar do I need? Do I have an older version of the bikini? It doesn't have a part number.
You can run it all year round if you would like, but as I mentioned it won't be completely water tight. Depending on where you live you might love using this all year.

Thank you for the kudos and I am glad to hear you are enjoying your Trektop Ultra!
The windjammer is the only thing I don’t have for my JLU. I think I want to roll with this setup. Awesome information, and install video!
Thanks, Jonathan! I am glad you enjoyed it, and thanks for watching!

So if you have those two clips screwed into the rear of the jeep, would that have to be removed before putting the hard top back on?
Can you use the duster without the windjammer? If so, where & how do you connect behind the seats? Thank you.
Question, for CJ's and YJ's does one have to remove their soft-top frames before installing the duster and wind jammer?
It depends on which application you purchase. I would suggest calling CS and they can go over the 3 options!

Is best top making a duster tunneau cover for the gen 6 2 door bronco?
There are no plans to make a Duster Tonneau cover for the Bronco, I'm sorry!
I don't see this windjammer on the site. With the the corner wrap around that prevents leakage
We call this version a "Wraparound Windjammer". Sorry for the confusion!
Hi can you get this style for all year use

Hate it goes between speakers and not around
Most people relocate the sound bar to the front side.
