His departure was horribly premature, God bless him. He is very much missed.
But what a life, and what a glorious legacy he left for us all - and most of us who miss him, never met him!

This video makes me sad and happy. I was 10 when it came out and I'd never heard of Alan but watching this made me ask my mum about him and then I begged her to buy sense and sensibility because even at a young age I was weirdly infatuated with him. And I still am. I can't believe he's gone.

This journey reminds me of similar journey across England every Sunday evening to work for the week. I would arrive about 12am though not when the sun was rising. Many great songs come to mind as I ripped through the dark english countryside and this is one of them.

Gotta give kudos not to just to Alan Rickman but also for the director and crew that made this video. In hindsight it perfectly sums up his life and appeal: he's there, he wows us all with his gentle masculinity yet very evident sex appeal, then at the end he departs on a high note, going back to his home with no regrets, save for leaving us wondering if we'll be able to manage without him. This is as much a pre-emptive tribute to him as it is a Texas song video.

The decision to have or not have kids is often a thing couples can't compromise on and it mostly ends in break ups or divorce (even worse when couples DO have kids and one parent ends up resenting them). This is my favourite music video ever. I might not be a hardcore fan like most of the people here but I greatly appreciated him and loved to watch him in various roles. His death hit me the hardest in 2016, not gonna lie 😭

This video just goes to show that Alan Sidney Patrick Rickman is truly the best of men and there will never be a single individual like him ever again. He was confident, yet still incredibly down to earth and never thinking he was above others. His presence wasn't a hurricane crashing down onto us, it was rather a tidal wave slowly embracing us and leaving us wondering what's next (as his brother described). This man was simply too pure for Earth and that may be one of the reasons why he was taken from us so soon, but I know that until the end of time, and most likely after that, him and his work will never be forgotten. He is perfection personified, and we shall remember him as such.
