Playing through Spelunky 2 and doing Cosmic Ocean runs really makes me realise just how easy we had it in Spelunky HD lmao Spelunky HD started feeling kinda easy to me anyways, but I'm sure if I ever revisited it i'd find even more so

Finally got to King Yama for the first time since 2015. I got the amulet and killed horse face but then a skull from the top killed me. I was more happy then mad since I felt like I accomplished something.
I was thinking: you could save yourself all the work of going through world 1 and 2, by getting the teleporter and teleporting into the statue that way you don't have to die. I've seen a tas do that.
I’ve played Spelunky (and now Spelunky 2) for hundreds of hours, and yet still the teleported scares the hell out of me 😂 Just too impatient to learn it’s secrets
@@slimo6358 I played spelunky 1 in 2014 and dropped it, recently got it on the switch and finally beat hell, on a daily none the less. Genuinely one of the greatest games I've played
@@Chromeno nope. although update, I've beaten 5 hell runs. You probably think it's easy because the people who make it there are so good that it looks so easy.
Jose Sanchez I play pc and I try every time but I always end up dying or messing up (beating the game normally) now I’ve beaten the game 4 times (still no hell win)
Bush Dinosaur in the last level you mean? Nope, and there's an annoying new spiky headed blue dude that wrecks your face if you get caught in his path though
@@CadenPlays5000 You are welcome! Spelunky is one of the best, and maybe one of the hardest games, ever. Definitely worth the experience for anyone, seriously. :-) I highly recommend it!
@@enzoanimations66 I feel like getting to Hell and back, once you get the understanding of it, gets easier to get to. Those secret worlds in Spelunky 2 are absolutely BANANANANANAS to get to consistentlu
@@DonFubar I guess the same applies to sunken city. Yeah its hard to get to but once you get a feel for it like killing kingu and such then it becomes easier. The cool thing about Spelunk is that its hard, but its also fair. (Mostly)

I had 99 health once while in Yama’s lair. And i fell on spikes -_-
Normal spikes do 50 dmg so you fell in lava or an enemy knocked you into lava

Don't worry. You'll never go there IRL. You'll never go there IRD, either. It's a pretty useful concept for squeezing tithes out of people, though.

@@DonFubar ah I see. For me, the teleporter isn't something that scares me, but rather annoys me when it doesn't work
you need the hedjet though. it doesn't spawn unless you die

In order to do a crysknife hell run, you need to go through worm AND mothership, the hardest level in the game
