    Good to see you Marlene.
So glad you are on the mend from your slippery fall.
Love all your stitching. You have been very busy.
I would love to drive down for world cross stitch day. It’s
A two hour journey, hopefully the stars align so I can join you.
Still working things out about the October retreat. Hopefully I can attend this as well. Shelby did a wonderful job on the drum. Maybe at the retreat she can show us how… 😊

I wish I could join your retreat, look like it will be fantastic. 12 hour drive, that would not be a terrible drive.🤔

They always say no trip is too far when it's something we love (12 hrs is alot)

Hi Marlene, it's nice seeing you again. I'm glad you've recuperated from your painful fall. Shelby, I hope to see you soon, too. You two stitch a lot of the same types of designs I do, so I enjoy seeing what you've been working on. They're all so pretty and Marlene, I was just having a bit of anxiety earlier thinking of all the things I have to stitch, want to stitch, but haven't gotten to it. After I heard you say somewhat similar, excluding the anxiety, perhaps most of us feel the same. 😅 I know the Flosstubes are about cross stitch, but I wanted to ask about the Bertie's Year block you had behind you, since I'm sewing them, also. I've displayed mine on a hanging rod with clips because I wasn't sure about making a pocket for one of the Ackfeld stands. Did you make a pocket to hang yours from or do something different? Enjoy the rest of July and your summer!

Yes , I did. It is quite simple to do. Take a piece of fabric around 2" wide and a length shorter than the length of the piece. Fold in half lengthwise, press in both ends about 1/4" then lay it along top edge of piece (before you sew the binding on) raw edges together. Baste and then put on binding. Stitch by hand the folded edge and you have your sleeve. Hope this helps.

thank you. I may try it on the next one. I'm not a quilter, but these little blocks make me feel like I'm a beginner quilter. Always In Stitches in Indiana had the Bertie's Year booklet divided out as their wool club this year, so I thought I would start dabbling in things I hadn't tried before.

Its my 1st time watching your video. The quilt at your back is so cute. Is there a kit for it?

The quilt is called Tiny Town I believe. It was a block of the month I did several years ago from Bunny Hill designs. I actually made it twice.
