So grateful to have this song in light of the news of Diego. This, for me, is their best work. The most clever fusion of rhythm , melody, dissonance, intensity, and chill. RIP
Gus was the main inspiration of the vocalist in one of my bands, unfortunately he's passed now but listening to gus and listening to our tracks it's clear as days, same style, pattern Inspiration too, we would always say, "volumes style" whilst tracking and figuring what to chuck in certain sections of our songs 🤣
I hate how people say their last album was shit because it wasn't "Volumes". The last album was complete fire. This EP is complete fire. Volumes just continues to put out our great work. Period.
Hell yeah, 100% agree! I love this band, been listening since the Via days, and every single album/song/EP they put out since then has been absolute fire. Everything they made is excellent, but their albums have been spaced out over a decade. Of course they're going to sound different from one another. People need to get a grasp on that. Everything they did and will do is Volumes. Period.
This song has such a nice feeling. It's like going back to my 90´s childhood times, having lived what I have already lived. A mix between anger, energy, happiness, and melancholy
This is the Volumes I recognize. It sounds SO good when Myke adds his flavour to the song and not the other way around, like they did on their previous album. Cause Different Animals sounded like the "Myke Terry and the Volumes" band. This EP however, LIT AF!
Yeah I'm new to Myke and an old Volumes fan who misses their earlier work. He has a fantastic, true singing voice, but the 2017 direction was a disappointment. I had no idea that he could contribute vocals like this, and admittedly this is my favorite song since 2014, it's reminiscent of their best instrumental days! I'd love to see if the best of past and present of this band can come together next.
Marshall Clifton my thoughts exactly. VIA was without a doubt the bands height. It sucks that mike Barr turned into some spirit walking hip hop boy. Him and gus together was the absolute best. This song is the only thing I can tolerate since no sleep
This EP is a masterpiece. Makes me happy to hear that they try to stick to that original *Volumes* sound that we all love so much. Congrats my dudes!🔥 *COME TO NOLA*
Gus has such an awesome voice, that when I heard you guys for the first time before your album 'No Sleep' dropped, that first single, The Mixture, instantly hooked me in with you guys. So talented, also the first band to inspire me to adventure outside of my own musical boundaries. Never even knew 7 string guitars were a thing before listening to Volumes. Now, 6yrs later, you guys gave inspired me to teach myself how to properly scream, and now I have my first 7 string guitar too. Such an awesome group and I hope to meet you guys one day. This EP is awesome 🤘
@@kingchron1798 yeah true, and Meshuggah used 7 & 8 string guitars back then as well. I didn't listen to them back then as much, so I wouldn't know too much about Korn to be honest.
Volumes just won’t be the same without Diego. But hot damn I hope they keep trying their best without him. RIP Diego, you gave us such great riffs along with Volumes songs. You won’t be forgotten anytime soon, I promise that.
I've been listening to volumes for about 8 years now and they've always been up there at the top of my list of favorites. When Barr left I really thought that would be the end of them. Then Myke joined and they started ripping again and I fell in love with the new Volumes. But now with Gus out of the band I'm really thinking that this might be the last thing we ever get from Volumes. It makes me sad but they gave me 8 solid years of bangers and this last one might take the cake as my favorite of all of them. Here's hoping Volumes can pull off a miracle and find someone to replace Gus and come back and keep ripping for us 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Who better to replace Gus than Michael Barr haha. I’ll miss Gus though. RIP Diego too. Their new shit is good but it doesn’t have that Diego riffage I can tell :/
This is by far my all time favorite Volumes song and i never thought I would say that about anything other than Erased, but this song just flows so nicely. Well done, dudes.
"Now there's a million things that I would say to you if I could just seem to get through..." Most importantly RIP Diego you were/are a fucking legend,... Also, good fucking job Volumes you guys are the dopest dope that I've ever smoked, real talk

I don’t know what the connection I have with your music is but I like you guys more and more being a fan since day one. Out of all the metal bands that exists I am so hyped on more volumes the connection I have with your music is amazing keep it up boys to me your music never gets old much love from the east.
This song is cool! Somehow gives off a nu metal vibe. Probably the instrumentals and production. First song off the EP I like. Second being Come Clean.
It's funny as a fan since the concept of dreaming, I wasn't huge on stuff after no sleep, this ep included. I appreciated the musicianship still none the less but this single, it gives me Serenity vibes and I love it. This was the highlight of the new Volumes for me
RIP Diego. This was just as sick as anything else he made, never stopped being one of the best in the game.
Consistency man. One of the hardest things to achieve, one of the hardest things to maintain. And that's in every aspect of life. RIP Diego
R.I.P Diego. Such a telented artist. This song i hear playing back in my head countless times throughout the day.
RIP DIEGO. You will be forever missed
One thing I've never known was what happened to him. Was he sick or something? His passing was very hush hush; I assume out of respect for his family.
@@h34dyl4m4rr accident by car

So grateful to have this song in light of the news of Diego. This, for me, is their best work. The most clever fusion of rhythm , melody, dissonance, intensity, and chill. RIP
The screams blend so well together, the timing brings it all back around. Volumes is so unique, a band that keeps me coming back.
I second this! They receive a lot of negativity when they just love their fans and what they do.
Sadly Gus is out of the band now :(
Gus is out

Sleazy Gee Pretty sure he wasn't?
Also:::: can we have a moment to appreciate Myke’s cleans, *SOOOO GOOD!!!!!!!*
They're raw and powerful.
Check out his solo stuff. It's more like r&b but he sounds great. Red Handed is a great song.
@@bobhohman9330 any time their in town i always tell Myke he should sing like that more
Sophia Dilmore his screams have also gotten better. They’re still not great but better nonetheless.
He turned into Casey Sabol
Man, RIP Diego. Also, I miss Gus' screams. I feel like I'm in the minority there, but real shit, I loved his vocals.
I'd agree with you. This is personally my favorite lineup of Volumes.
They were harsh but yet somehow still worked so well for this sound
Gus was the main inspiration of the vocalist in one of my bands, unfortunately he's passed now but listening to gus and listening to our tracks it's clear as days, same style, pattern Inspiration too, we would always say, "volumes style" whilst tracking and figuring what to chuck in certain sections of our songs 🤣
Both their vocals sound so good together
I would have been cool with them having 3 vocalists since theu were so different. Would have been d8fferent in a cool way.
REST IN POWER DIEGO...…. ILL NEVER STOP LISTENING TO YOUR SONGS UNTIL THE DAY I DIE.
Strong VIA vibe here. This is the Volumes that needs to stay.
For sure!
@Beard Guy101 The synth hook is dope. Just takes some getting used to
@Beard Guy101 Nah I love that synth tbh
@Beard Guy101 It makes a very contradictory effect of calm nostalgic sounds, with absolute brutality, which I really love.
