These are great cars. I drive my deceased mother's 1988 a lot, along with my 2008 Deville. The '88 has burgundy leather interior to match the exterior paint. Try finding that color leather in any modern production car. Note that the car is rectangular, and the rear bumpers actually stick out at the corners. This makes parking a pain in tight spots. The 20-odd exterior lights really make these cars stand out at night. With only 96k miles and a recent repaint, I'll keep Big Red forever; it drives so well! Thanks, mom. --Old Guy
This was actually an absolute beast of a sedan for its day, and based on high school anecdotal evidence, could smoke any mid 2000s honda in a street race, while you felt like you were sitting on your couch. Only thing missing from this one is the butter yellow leather interior to go with the paint.
I'm surprised that since this car came with the power outdoor rear view mirrors (car color) it didn't come with leather and the digital instrument cluster.
Mine has mechanical/cable adjusting mirrors; there are two small joysticks for them on opposite sides of the dash. I have chrome mirror housings but bought a painted one as a spare. My interior is Bergundy colored leather, which matches the exterior paint. The dash is part analogue (speedometer) and part digital, such as the fuel mgt. system, radio, etc. Weird hybrid. Mom bought it used in 1990, and I inherited it in garage-kept condition in 2007. Thanks, mom! --Old Guy
At minute 5:50, you can see the digital controls (fuel use reset, mpg, etc.) below the enormous analog speedometer. These Carter-era cars are detuned a bit. Carter also introduced the 55 mph highway speed limits to save fuel nationwide during the OPEC oil embargo. these Cars use 87 octane gas, and the speedo's only read up to 85 mph (not the car's top speed). Even so, these are great highway cars; and can get about 25 highway mpg. Mine is still reliable at 36 years old, although I don't push it too hard now. --Old Guy
@@princekogaianmikoshi405 I have one in great shape with 96k miles, but it is not for sale as it was my mom's car. I am using it daily as my 2008 is awaiting some body work. Both are great cars. --Old Guy

Ed - thank you very much for sharing! Our late 80's-early 90s Cadillacs are very popular and still retain that elegance and luxury mile after mile!
