This felt like it recapped how 2024 felt for me, bittersweet and melancholic, a bit empty and cold but still comfortable with it... Strange feeling. Thank you for this. Hope 2025 I'll be slightly more human again. 2024 didn't feel like a year has passed or is it just me? I can't describe the time passage, like it went faster but didn't notice it. Hey dude! this was awesome to find, I literally was searching for my song which is also named desolate and I was like "hmm whats this?" and instantly was impressed. The textures you added at the start with what I think might be button press and rainfall? Then you had it pulsate along with the kick and fade out was an awesome additive, the ambient drums, the somber melody and pads leading in and out at just the right times was great, and your mixing and mastering on this is amazing as well. Very well done Erik, you outshined my "desolate" for sure haha! Super cool that I found this, you got another fan for sure!
