Hi Brandon -That's a good question. Basically if the Waggle is performed correctly, there should not be a chance of a moving screen. Let's pretend the ball handler is at the top of the key and dribbling to their left. So the screener is coming up as if they will set a ball screen for the ball handler going left. The screener never gets all of the way up to set the ball screen (so they can't have a moving screen yet) and right before they get in the screening position, the screener now makes a quick "C" shape as Coach Billeter mentions in the video, and they move to the opposite side of the player they are setting the screen on. It is important that the ball handler takes the defender to the left still, and WAITS for the Waggle Screen to get set, before dribbling the defender back to the right, and off of the Waggle Screen. So there should be space between the screener and the person they are screening when this is set. Hope this helps, any other questions, please let me know. Thanks- Mark Brase Breakthrough Basketball
How do you avoid being called for a moving screen on the Waggle Screen?
