Those pinch harmonics make me jealous... I can't do a single one no matter how hard I try and just grind away at it... These are executed to be perfectly eargasmic! I love it!
there ar not enough words to describe how i feel about this ill settle with flawless and i just subbed your channel. now im going to be studying this video to figure out how you played it.
I discovered VII-Sense around 2010 but kinda forgot about the band, had no idea Kaz participated in Guilty Gear's OST. Anyone knows if he is still active in any japanese band nowadays?
I wasn't familiar with him or 'vii-sense' etc. before watching this video. Haven't really explored the genre he works in.* In any case, I tried to dig up a little info on him. Mostly because when I initially watched this video, without even understanding WHO was playing, my mind very quickly suggested that the person playing has substantial 'classical training'. The dexterity, efficiency ... overall technique, I've seen this in young people (person in the video also seems on the younger side) mostly with students in "secondary schools" who enter competitions on instruments like the violin (especially - this type of fingerwork etc.). Very quick thought, figured I might quickly see if there was any basis or not ... however, turned out his real name / any more substantial information doesn't come up easily, at least searching in English. Too tired to try Japanese (and my level isn't high enough to do so nearly as easily) right now ... and brevity, apparently. More relevant to your message, I found some forum posts on a site called "Monochrome Heaven" (some 'jrockone' site...), including one from 2017 about him being hospitalized. Probably some digging on that site might turn up more info ... sorry if you're already aware of this site / info, but, figured I'd share the little bit of thread I uncovered... _In part because this video is very impressive, I think ... so, the investment of a little time seems well worth it in multiple ways._ _Edit: I'd link to the site I mentioned, but TH-cam seems to delete comments that link to practically any external site these days ... grr.._ _Edit 2: It's really phenomenal playing AFAICT ... I'm too tired this particular moment to even listen to it entirely and w/ any real concentration / presence ... but, wow, it sounds incredibly impressive and likely to sound that way in a non-hazy state (after some solid sleep)_ _Edit 3: couldn't help digging a little more when I started closing tabs ... looks like he was involved in "Hajime" (again) more recently than 2017 ... info from that set of 'monochrome heaven' forums. ALSO, check the photo of him on "Encyclopaedia Metallum" - he looks like "Dracula's 'AC/DC' Reference Librarian" or something ... if they make another "Symphony of the Night-style game, I vote for adding that character (as amusing as the old librarian character was, substitute if necessary!)._ 😂 _If I ever do another "Rocky Horror Picture Show" event, I will be going as THAT character ... at extreme personal risk, no doubt, given that 'fandom'... lmao._ * I do come across it sometimes and I've always had a certain interest in 'metal' (of various types), including some of the incredibly virtuosic performers (both in technique and in apparent breadth and depth of musical ideas [incl. refs especially to western 'classical' music, but also to many other genres]), but it tends to be a bit too 'heavy' (quite an apt word) for day-to-day listening for me / my ears/mind. Just the way I ended up, of course - 'taste' and such is individual even as so many aspects are shared in mixtures between people.
@@garrghhh - Oh, thank you for your reply, I remember Monochrome Heaven but didn't visit the forums for years since then. Japan's rock/metal scene really became my favorite for the past 10 years, they just keep bringing new talented bands, I'm a big fan of how much effort they put in the instrumental side of their bands. I don't know if metal is your thing but right now there is one band called *Unlucky Morpheus* they are extremely talented, they mix the super heavy sound of the 2 guitarists with very melodic solos from the violinist Jill (she is just on another level), the female singer (Fuki) also extremely talented singing in this opera-style, crazy vibratos that you don't see in western female singers that often. They know how to balance the heavier aspect of metal with beautiful melodies and solos that are more on the classical side so they don't overshadow the violin, that's what I like about then. Unlucky Morpheus have an official channel here on youtube with live footage and their music videos, I definitely recommend. Another great band that caught my eye recently is *Wagakki Band,* they combine rock with traditional japanese instruments like the Shakuhachi and Shamisen, very interesting and unusual harmonies.
Fato engraçado:essa música que ele tá tocando não é dele, porque tem um outro Holy ordens com a mesma trilha sonora só mais atualizada,e mais bem escutada
