There are a lot of talented female high jumpers from the Ukraine. It's not just Mahuchikh, Levchenko and Herashchenko (Geraschenko). There are others too. Okuneva is not bad. Okuneva looks like an athlete, fast and with good muscle tone. She might be good at other sports too.

Just a thought: once an athlete starts competing and winning at the international senior level, should he or she keep competing in national, U23, and U20 meets where a cleaning of the other competitors' clocks is basically a done deal?

Нет, она на самом деле так прыгает, я уже с последней Европы обратил внимание. Как только она сама решит что пора бы и 2 метра разменять, сразу все будет. Готова она прекрасно, чуть посмелее и все будет:-))
как то Рося устаканилась после зимы-заруба намечается знатная-канингем у себя в калифорнии 202 пб напрыгала-макдермот тоже вроде как 200 спасибо за видео-Георгий
Про Каннингем и Макдермот слышал и видел. Все эти результаты были показаны в тепличных домашних условиях и пока больше не были повторены. Рося имеет «талант» рвать всех на выезде и в самых сложных условиях, мне кажется что соперницы потеряют половину своей прыти как только Рося начнет забивать свои фирменные гвозди с первых попыток! Так что очень интересно посмотреть, как все это будет в финале Олимпиады, где коленки трясутся даже у судей:-)) Очень хочется, чтобы Ира Геращенко справилась с волнением, она вполне способна сейчас на 202-204.
Сейчас прошел Чемпионат России, где могла победить и Окунева и Чумаченко, я не говорю о Ярославе, Ире и Юлии. Уровень результатов и прыжков в России сейчас очень низкий и говорить тут не о чем. Даже нет никого из молодых в перспективе. А в Украине такие серьезные результаты. Если бы Ира Геращенко была бы больше уверена в себе и Юля Левченко подлечила бы ногу, то это будет полный подиум на соревнованиях любого уровня со стабильными результатами выше 2-х метров у всех девочек. В какой стране мира есть еще такое? Что-то я затрудняюсь ответить…

СИЛА = МАСА x ПРИСКОРЕННЯ (2) Якщо ви погано стрибаєте, тоді вам потрібно бути більш розслабленим, а НЕ більш напруженим. Вузькі м’язи не можуть розтягуватися.

Iryna is jumping really high. what an outstanding improvement! She's jumping even higher than Yuliya. If she improves on her arch, she's gonna be a formidable competition.
I like the idea of a 'best tan' award for high jump. I think it's pretty obvious who would win this. Just something you notice, when you're staring at the world through your gaming monitor, and you realize that SOME people are outdoors a lot. People, like me, get paler. And Levchenko chooses a pink top to high light her skin tone. Anyway. I think 4th for her is only OK. BUT. Ukraine is STACKED in high jump. I don't even know who the American high jump chicks are.
In the women's high jump category, Yaroslava is the "IT" girl. She's got the looks, personality, and athleticism to be #1 for years to come. I would marry her, or adopt her, or sponsor her, or make her a beneficiary of my estate, or fly her anywhere she wants to go. My love for her is unbounded. And by the way, what's happened to Yuliya? She hasn't been the same for the last few years. I feel like she's troubled by something. Maybe just physical injuries, or maybe more than that.
@@robbystafford8273 In the same way that Maria Sharapova was the highest paid, most well-known, most attractive, and one of the most talented female tennis players for a number of years, that's what I think Yaroslava can achieve. If you don't think looks play a part in that equation, you're mistaken. It's not "only" athletic talent that creates success. I'm talking about success in the broader meaning of that word. These girls aren't devoting their lives to the high jump just for fun. It's kind of a delicate balance of different goals, you know? As it is, in order to make any decent money in this sport, it's all about corporate sponsorships, and being super pretty like Yaroslava is, certainly helps. And don't forget, this all has to be accomplished in not much more than a decade or so.
