I think there are most definitely some products that do not work at all. 😂 I find that which skincare I use under makeup makes such a huge difference. And eye creams are a necessity... I tried just using moisturizer under my eyes, and my eyes watered so much... the people who say that eye creams are a waste must have a sturdy eye area. LoL You look so fantastic!! ❤
That Catrice under eye Brightener is a winner. Better than the Becca. Goes on smooth. A little concealer on top and set with a bit of powder and it’s good all day. Thanks for finding this gem.
Omygoodness, Laura Rae, you are the first and *only* person I've seen reference the Almay Velvet Foil eyeshadow! These are absolutely fantastic, and I'm so glad you're bringing attention to them, thank you! I have the peachy shade, and it is stunning, stays all day, and doesn't emphasize less-than-perfect eyelids. You've got some solid suggestions, here. 👍
I can't believe how good those bangs look on you! Also there were several moments when you looked SO much like your gorgeous daughter I did a double take. Thank you for your great suggestions. :)
Spraying the setting powder on the Stansout sponge is a Great idea. I love my Stansout sponge. Great video I Always get ideas for products and applications from you. Take care 💚
Love the mally face defender, the loreal age perfect rose primer is beautiful and blurring, who doesn't love that. At 52 I need all the blurring I can get.😅 love your channel ❤. .
Hated the Elf putty primer, so I had low expectations of the liquid one. But this version impressed me! Works as well as the grip primer, but has much better texture. Def my fave of the three
Gorgeous look with your bangs! Usually not a lipgloss fan, but I was recently gifted Kylie, plumping lipgloss in rosé and chill. 🍷💕Pretty shade, a little tingle but feels really nice. Great tip to moisturize lips while getting ready especially in my super dry climate. Thank you and have a wonderful week.
Loved the video.with your bangs you and your daughter look so much alike. I took a double take thinking it was Daniele but knew her hair is dark now. Thank you.
Skin care and hydration are my priorities. As far as makeup, I often don’t wear anything but lipstick. When I do, a sheer formula is critical. I just want to even out my skin tone, not hide it. I don’t mind imperfections as long as my foundation and concealer are the optimum shade. That’s the hardest part. Even if a fabulous formula, the wrong shade won’t do me any favors. My favorite foundation for both formula and shade match success, more than any high end (including Dior, ABH, NARS, Haus Labs, Charlotte Tilbury) is the L’Oréal True Match Super Blendable formula. It showcases the quality of my skin, looks fresh and natural. I still have the ABH and Haus Labs products but tossed the rest because I stopped reaching for them either due to heavier consistency, shade match or oxidation. What a lesson I have learned. I don’t have to spend top dollar to look and feel my best.😊
Thank you! I have taken so many of your suggestions! My cart is full once again! 😂 oh and by the way I love the sorme eye primer! It’s definitely a game changer for my creepy eyelids.
Thank you for being here and sharing your skills on mature skin health and beauty! I always look forward to learning and I guess it’s true that you can teach an old dog, (70) new tricks 😂. I would love to know the brand and color of the nail polish in this video. Looking forward to your next video!
LauraRae, thank you for educating me on the newer products out there. I am looking forward to trying several products from your vlog. Love your content...find it is useful and effective for my needs!
Thank you Laura, much needed! I'll definitely try the Primer under the eyes! At the moment, I dab versed eye cream (which is more like a balm) over make up under the eyes when it starts to crease. Miraculously, it doesn't disturb my makeup 😮. Foundation that works well for me (I'm 49) is the Neutrogena Healthy Skin Foundation. It gives more coverage than I remembered, and has a little SPF on top!
Laura, I love the Em colors on you! Also, your skin looks flawless even without any foundation. I really enjoy your makeup videos so much & appreciate the time & thought you put in them. God Bless.❤
Oh my gosh with your bangs and eyeliner you look so much like your daughter! I bought a Stansout sponge on prime day too. I just happened to see the sale price and couldn't pass it up.
I’m 45, with dry skin, and I’ve been loving the newer Neutrogena tinted sunscreen. I also love the Rose Inc Skin Enhance Luminous Tinted Serum. I agree with you, Laura Rae, on the Huda Glowish bronzer. It’s beautiful! I also like the Rare Beauty bronzer sticks. I really think eyeshadow primers make a huge difference for more mature eyelids. I like the Milani one. Tina from The Fancy Face just did an amazing eyeshadow application videos here on TH-cam. You should check it out!
I like Paula’s Choice Essential Glow Moisturizer SPF30 and ROC multicorrexion hyaluronate + plump eye cream. It’s lovely and very gentle for my sensitive eyes. I just bought the Winky Lux concealer on your recommendation, too (but haven’t tried it yet- I have about 6 open and use them as eyelid primer, too). I like Catrice undereye brightener, too. I also just cut my bangs and got them back, too! They’re great for covering forehead wrinkles which I have had since my 20’s!
So many products don’t work well on aging/dry/sensitive skin, so thank you for this video. I love Revlon lipstick and many elf offerings. You bangs frame your face beautifully.
I used the Mally poreless when it first came to ULTA! It was fabulous. Also what a neat domed brush from BDelium! So unique. As I recall the late Beauty Guru Mel Thompson used BDellium brushes.
Wow! You are the ONLY one who's talked about Daniel Sandler's liquid blushes!! I got his sample pack a few years ago! I LOVED IT! Usually influerncers talk mainly about Rare Beauty's liquid blushes.
I spray my setting spray on a big fluffy brush & then pat it on my face. I dont like to spray it direct on my face either. Love the bangs. I cut bangs recently but l can't seem to keep them in place in this heatwave. Lol
I purchased the Sormé on your recommendation. Very nice! I still like the MAC paint pots and the Dr. Perricone No Makeup eyeshadow, but this is really good, too!
I think 🤔 it was Stephanie Marie who used to talk about that liquid blush from Sandler years ago. She used to like it a lot. But I guess I am still old school and prefer the powder blush form, especially the baked formulas. Like Milani, essence and of course Laura Geller. I actually despise the gel cream and liquid forms of blush. They are messy, fade away on my skin, and can be patchy. I still prefer the standard powder blushes on my 50 + aged skin. And the lighter the hand of application, the better. As far as liquid foundation, powder foundation, and blush. Looks more natural and better on me. 🌞
I would like to see you try some dewy setting mists. My 62 year old skin needs moisture. I will try the ELF primer. I always want to love primers but they all make me breakout. I bought both the eyeshadows on your recommendation this morning. I have the Malay Poreless wax product. Thanks for showing me how to use it.
Gosh, I’m getting so frustrated with the wrinkles under my eyes that I’m even considering surgery to try & fix it! So glad to come across your video! There’s so many steps here that I’m not sure I can remember what order to apply all these products! Thank you for all these tips. It’s always nice seeing someone more my age talking about products rather than some young woman who hasn’t got a clue about wrinkles! I’ll definitely try these!
Great picks! I like the Joah tinted lip balms. They are moisturizing, the pigment goes on evenly, and they stay on pretty well. I have nothing else quite like them. They have an interesting clingy gel texture.
I’ve been using the Paula’s Choice super light wrinkle defense sunscreen for a few years and love it! I also am very surprised that I like the ELF poreless putty liquid. Love your bangs!
Just received the Catrice eye brightener last week and LOVING it….. along with the B Dellium brush. I am ready to throw out the PIXIE That did not work for me at all Have a great weekend
Love your channel and love your tips and suggestions for mature women...I'm 58. I wonder if the Malley product is a dupe for the Benefit Dr. Feelgood balm that has been discontinued for a while now. I'm ordering the Malley and will let you know. The results look amazing! Powder is not working for me as I age.😊
Hey Laura Rae! I most often use a tinted mineral sunscreen as a base under a light dusting of mineral powder foundation. If it enhances my wrinkles in general, I know I haven't buffed the mineral powder enough. For my undereyes, well, every day is a new day. I've started writing brief notes about the products I use and what techniques and which order I apply them in, and it's interesting to watch differences appear when I start with a new product or a different brush or whatever. So I still love the learning process, and I do appreciate your tips and suggestions! Thanks for the video!
You are beautiful and so kind! May I give a hair suggestion with your new hairstyle? Hope I’m not overstepping y out it boundaries… As a former hairdresser I think your bangs would suit you better with some softening, layers around your face and movement in the hair.
I considered doing some layering but when I have done that in the past it has made my hair appear thinner. Also, with the humidity where I live my hair becomes more frizzy. I may end up adding some layers but I am giving this a try for awhile first.❤️
Laura I am horrible with eye shadow placement especially using brushes. I have to bury my face in my mirror 😅and refuse to get a magnifying one 😮. Can you help show me how I can get shadow on my lids? I have no real estate up there 😂 are creams easy to work with? Right now I just just that old sponge thing that comes with powders. Thanks, very mature skin here!
Do you find certain makeup works better for wrinkles? Let’s chat in the comments.
Your content is so great. Your demonstration technique and transparency in your experiences are the BEST! Thank you. ❤

Yes Catrice is good , but I think I prefer the Pixie peach Undereye corrector. Great video 👏🏻👏🏻

fringe! Does look good!
Bangs! I so miss mine but hair has thinned and I have cowlicks but they do make a person look more youthful
