Dear Gaurav, 50 millibar is actually the vacuum, because atmospheric pressure is 1.01325bars so 50millibars is 0.05bar- ultra low pressure which is how the molten metal is sucked up and locked for solidification, and as the temperature significantly differs, it solidifies the metal and cast is ready.

Normally we talk about pressure in terms like 1 Bar is just approximately 1 atmospheric pressure.

@@rockyyahoo5566 actually that's the vaccum, when molten metal is sucked at 0.05bars (50 millibars) the metal in liquid state is infused into the mould cavity and, low temperature interface cools the mould and solidifies the cast.
Correction Gaurav: The giga press is currently only used to make two parts, the front end and back end. And this one back end part replaces 70 different parts. Not all cars is made of 70 parts.. just that one area where it holds the motor is replaced by cast part.

If you make few sheet metals structure then maintenance and insertion of different wiring and parts even replacing will be a tough task

Bhai in 3d printing we require more time to print a body , if he use metel for printing then it required more power to keep the metel in liquid state until the hole body complete and it required more lubricants as compared to ather technic. I think it is not possible.
still forging is much better than casting. so giga press is casting those parts whereas normally we use cold working processes like stamping in body shell manufacturing.

Die cast cars will have to made out of more expensive metals like Aluminum and also, because of process limitations the shell will be bulkier and heavier. Thus will be much more expensive

Gaurav bhai just imagine a human body made of one single skeleton. In event of accident, if any part of the bone gets damaged wouldn't it be more expensive to repair it. Similarly in case of cars having different components manufactured separately makes them easy to replace. Elon Musk is a a great person but this method of making cars will cost heavy on repairs.

What if the the car is in an accident? then the cost of replacing any of these parts each or as whole depending on the damage will be massive as Model Y is quite expensive.
