I agree that he had been more clinical in Madrid because his primary role evolved from being a traditional winger to Left Wing Forward sometimes changing wings.. But in Manchester he had RAW pace, dribbling, energy, getting up instantly after being fouled, shooting, taking free kicks, corners, and that did not tire him down.. He was flawless at that time..dropping down to help in defence, switching from defence to offence in the blink of an eye at such a pace in a match, time and time again..he just set the winger's zone on fire.. his work rate, running rate, with and without the ball was something class apart.. In Madrid, its understandable with age and experience that running got reduced but he evolved more into a goal scoring forward than what he was at United. In United, he used to produce and procure more expected goals scenario and assists by solo individual running at times, that is unmatched during his period at Madrid..

I was a kid when Ronaldo and Messi started their careers. And i loved them both through their careers, but CR7 will always have a special place in my heart. Messi has always had the edge on him if we are talking about pure and raw football talent and this is the reason why if i have to choose between them i'll always pick Cristiano. He had to put hard work to reach, and for long periods overcome, Messi talent. First at arrive, last to leave. Never left a pitch without putting max effort. And a true leader, never seen him give up before the end of a match.
