It's amazing how tolerant you are with Jarvis ^^ When you have a horse with... Dramatic flare.... It is important to just ride threw it. And not make too much of a fuse out of it. You're definitely a great rider!
dude ik!!! i was jump crew at a 4-5yo green horse event and caroline martin was there with a bunch of her redfield warmbloods and her last baby was being an absolute nightmare brat and she was just sitting through his horrible behavior with a smile and straightening it out. SMILING. the WHOLE TIME. i was like girl i wish i had ur patience
@@1jazzyphae we’re not taking abt patience. anyone can be patient, it just abt ur attitude during. you can be patient but get annoyed and have that effect your mood for the rest of the ride, but staying positive and brushing it off is a more uncommon patience
Can I just say everyone telling Ella how to ride Jarvis or what she should do to stop his "bad" behaviour is very unnecessary. I'm sure if it's just helpful advice then Ella doesn't mind but can I just remind you that Ella has had this pony for a while now and she knows how to control Jarvis. If there is an issue her trainer will help not unqualified horse people on the internet.

Also I absolutely love watching people with patience ride it out like you did. So many get frustrated and mad at their horse, and that just escalates the behavior. You rode through it and still had a productive session. It's hard when we dont get the ride we wanted but that was the ride he needed. Well done.
Lol don’t you just love fresh ponies in fall. My gelding is also fresh this time of year, but we don’t jump we doing reining and he likes to spin like a mad man lol 😂
My mare is almost 21 and is the exact same. Newly clipped and if there is a bit chillier out you just hang on and have patience. Mad props to you for staying cool and calm.
I know how it feels to have deflating rides like that I had a very similar situation with my previous pony except it was bucking and nearly everyday when I schooled but again had everything checked and he was fine just temperamental 💖
I think people are always striving to stay calm and be patient but it takes work to learn to control your emotions in that way and it’s easy to sometimes get frustrated when your ride doesn’t go the way you would like it to.

My boy Charlie was the exact same when I first bought him x it took me a whole year of nothing but flat to even get him to stay on the ground for a while session and Ive had him just gone 3 years and only now has he started to settle down properly and I must say is not the nicest feeling in the world when they rear and buck like that In my case I was actually scared and I'm genuinely impressed with how calm and collected you were/are with him x keep up the good work he looks great x don't listen to all the negatives ❤️ your doing a whole lot better then most people out there 😁
Can’t remember which bit you saw but they have a blue and black net which is there night net which goes in at 6pm and it’s HUGE and filled to the brim, they also get a bit more on the floor!!! But never left without hay😀😀
Weird question, have you had his sheath aka bean cleaned? We had a horse that was unrideable, turns out he had a bean the size of a fist! You handle him so well 💗

Over my years with horses i have seen many a fresh horse at the start of winter,all horses are different,and if hes still a young horse to,nothing wrong with him,just being a horse😊
My horse is the same, shes had her back and teeth done, and her shoes and saddle fitted, yet she still acts like an idiot 😂 This is usually because she is just trying to get her own way, or she gets excited or anxious 🥺🥰🐴
Try doing something new like going on a hack or trail ride or even doing a different discipline to change up his routine. That is what I did and now my horse is back to normal and doesn’t have so much attitude

He doesn’t need a gag he’s literally just naughty horses act up there not robots just because he through a rear and a buck doesn’t mean he needs a stronger bit Ella has great control over him and if she felt like he needed one I’m sure she would use it but she obviously doesn’t just no need for comments like that

No need to bit Jarvis up unnecessarily!! He didn’t do it at the gate because of the barn, that’s just his way of not wanting to do it. He’s done this once even without the noise x
What a naughty little boy.. I have a horse that does the same crap when jumping, the best thing that I’ve found that works is kick them into a gallop, come back to a super slow almost walking trot and then again snap into the gallop!!! Repeat until you can go forward without any behaviours (both reins) So many international riders do this, I swear by it!!!!
I’m not trying to be rude or tell you what to do because I know you are an amazing rider and take great care of all of your horses but maybe try putting Jarvis on a calming supplement. He looks pretty nervous all the time and it may help with is behavior! I’m really just trying to help so please don’t hate me.
Jarvis isn’t nervous at all, he’s just got a big attitude problem! He’s already on a gut&calm supplement - people need to understand that horses can just be naughty and it doesn’t have to relate to pain :)

hey love:) your riding is amazing I am so impressed that you stayed on, if you don't mind I would love to just offer some advice, I had a client whose horse acted just like Jarvis , he had nothing wrong with his health at all he was perfectly healthy. I am sure nothing is wrong with his health especially if your vet said so, but it might be the way you are riding him. I am not saying that you are a bad rider at all. but sometimes the way you ride one horse doesn't work on another horse and eventually the horse just shuts down and starts to buck, rear, backup, and many other things, because to the horse it can feel like you are asking him to go forward while doing something subtlety without knowing to to make him want to go backwards. I am not trying to pin you down to anything or make you feel like a bad rider but maybe he is shutting down and reverting to something like bucking or rearing because he doesn't know what he is supposed to do or he is just frustrated. Horses are horses and we will always be learning from them and we will never know everything about horses, even the best horse riders are still learning and improving, I hope that you and Jarvis will still continue to grow strong and one day you will figure out what is wrong and be able to fix it:)
Hi, it’s definitely not the way I’m riding him because he only does this during coat changing time (he has always been like this). The next day he schooled perfectly fine and was an angel. I ride to suit the individual horse and have worked with Jarvis extremely frequently so I understand his certain way of going. Thanks for your insight💗
you legit watched one video of a fresh and lively horse messing around and you have decided its her riding lol, when in every other video they are doing so well together and he goes so nicely. Not every horse is an angel all the time, they are animals and she even said he had just been clipped. Also it isn't "advice" if you purely criticise and don't offer any help.
