DJI is killing it, I hope they don't get caught up in the upcoming trade wars (which they already kind of have). I predict DJI will come out with something between the Pocket 3 and the Ronin 4D, moving into the big 3 camera companies market share (Or 4 I suppose since Nikon bought Red).

Thx for the video, Armando. From your thumbnail I thought you might talk about the DJI Power 1000. I just bought mine and it helped a lot on a shoot recently. Did that somehow not make the cut?
@@Snider-Films So after realizing that we had so many DJI products I opted to cut it out. It’s a solid product as you probably know, but it was already weird having 3 DJI products let alone 4
I have problem with the latest firmware of the DJI FOCUS Pro personnaly, its getting worse... You don't have any problem with battery swap with erased profiles ? Lidar freaking out if your subject is in front of a car (Lidar can't decide if it wants to focus on the car or the model)... etc... ?
@@Horizons_Roses I had some of those issues in the past, not anymore. Also I use the app to load profiles not the hand unit. Seems like you may need to enter the correct distance from sensor plane marker and LiDAR unit.
@@Horizons_Roses I load pre-existing profiles from the app, I find they work better and focus seems to be spot on even though now you're able to modify the calibration.
@@mondobytes Yeah so it doesn't bug with Arles and the few lenses avaible in the app then. I get those bugs with Atlas Mercuries and Leica R lenses. Would love to have someone that have your voice to call DJI out on these bugs.
@@Horizons_Roses I use Mercuries all the time, never had an issue. Literally just shot all day today with Typoch lenses which are not in profiles and works flawlessly.

Anyone else worried about the data that DJI has on us at this point? So much lidar data from their products, especially the drones, and that data goes straight to China when you interface for updates.
@ made in china is different than owned by china on a few levels. Apple engineers the products made there and has QA over it, but I’m pretty confident that DJI’s overseas QA is primarily there to make sure that it’s weaponizable to the spec of the state. It’s also true that DJI has much less emphasis on what is ethical to collect on a corporate level. Do you ever wonder why their tech and design is years beyond what others make, and at a fraction of the price? Same reason I don’t think anyone should own a Huawei product. The irony isn’t lost on me that the US gov has huge tabs on us thru Apple and Android, but the seeming ignorance has started to give me pause. China is a truly fascistic nation that actually enslaves its people to do its bidding under threat of force. It’s a whole different animal that we have a level of responsibility to acknowledge. I’d rather take my chances with US domestic spies any day.
@@jaythefourth Not really much of a difference when you have apps like TikTok that have access to the hardware on the phone and so many people are willing to download and install these apps on their phones. Also most DJI products with the exception of their drones do not require or use internet access so not sure how much “data” my microphone, LiDAR or Camera is really sending.
@ I don’t either, but there’s over 1.5 billion TikTok users compared to approx 1.5 million drones. So if I wanted to spy on people the choice is pretty clear.

Osmo Pocket 3 for filming cars is so clutch!

It works great not just on water but cars, windows, skin tones haha.
