      @@urbanyarn I need to order 2 more hanks of the iris and the dandelion. I was thinking of sweaters. There's a BagoDay pattern that is really nice. Can be used for a male or female. I made one for my son last Christmas with a yarn I got at the wool warehouse. Colored light great to dark gray with a white twist to it.. I've been working on several hat and scarf combo for Rose. And I've started a toddler sweater, hat scarf combo for this Christmas. I've also been making preemie beanies , blanket and dress for my new granddaughter. Born june 6 weighing 2lbs 9oz. Now she weighs over 3 lbs. I'm so happy for you and your hubby. It must be absolutely beautiful up in Vancouver this time of year.

    I love Malabrigo yarn, I recently got into using it. One of the first hanks I got was the fingering weight in the color way Lotus. GORGEOUS! I love your Lotus, it seems to have more blue, mine was more of the purples. I love how they are all different.

      I know what you mean about the difference in the dye lots of the hand dyed yarn. I'm happy I got a few of the lotus at the same time - especially on the many patterns in my queue that are asking for 2 hanks.

Quick question…do you think you would ever do a video on how you put color work together? You have an amazing talent for putting yarns together that my brain can’t comprehend. Anyway, wonderful video, stay safe! 🥰🌈☕️🐈‍⬛

      Hello Ruthie!
      The Coffee Toffee is stunning and the Streaker yarn (even though the name makes me laugh) is so wonderful and soft.
      Ahhh - that's a great idea about colour theory videos and what my process is. I try and chat about that non-officially over each of the projects I'm working on, but not a full video just on some theory (Colour is such a subjective approach - but an insight into what goes on up in my brain... LOL well that maybe interesting for me to explore too).

    Oh that last one you got, the 50% cotton 50% soy, I believe it's the exact same yarns I got as well but it was from another brand called Ferner Wolle "Baby soft printed" both companies might have purchased the same yarns from Italy and put different stickers on haha

      Hi Sophie - I know that can happen with the manufacturer selling the same yarns to different vendors so they can price and label them with their own branding. To me that seems a little cheeky - especially if one brand slaps a more expensive price tag on the same yarn - just because they have their label on it. They can save their labels, I'm not crafting the label into my work... LOL!

    The yarns are beautiful. I have some Streaker yarn in the color way #105. I haven't used it yet, but it's so soft and I love the colors. I'm just finishing "Dragon Belly". I used a ball of Noro Geishi in muted shades of greys and greens for the most part, Added some other Noro when I though it wasn't big enough but it turned out larger than the designer's finished size. I'm not sure yet how to wear it.:)

    When you said streaker, I immediately thought of the first streaker at the new Optus Stadium in Perth in 2018. It was a cricket match and there were 54,000 people at the match. He was on the pitch for about 2 minutes before security guards grabbed him and wrapped him in a blanket and dragged him off. He was going to to receive a huge fine, so some of his mates were going to stage a rally for him through Toodyay (where he is from) wearing the same attire as the streaker when he ran onto the pitch. The local constabulary caught hold of their plan and strongly advised them against it! He was fined $2000, but this hasn’t acted as a deterrent! The most recent one was in May this year. Does this happen at international sporting matches?

    • @urbanyarn
      @urbanyarn  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      LOL - Bec! I chuckled reading about the most recent streakers from the Cricket match in Australia. It is definitely an Australian art form (movement). I have never heard of (or seen) any articles about streakers here in Canada since I've been living here. I think it's too cold, and the biggest sports are on ice... ouch!

      Hello Cindi - thanks for your question. I did do a vest out of Noro Kiri yarn, but I didn’t use a pattern. I had created it from my own notebook. There are many around that are available - google either knit vest patterns or crochet vest patterns and a whole bunch come up. It’s just a matter of selecting the style you like. That would help with getting the free shipping that some websites have.
