    This class is a must, especially for beginners, those who haven’t road in a while, and those with bad habits. The instructors were great and very knowledgeable. Two thumbs up!!

    Had an awesome time in class-challenging, but non the less awesome. Thank you Jay, Natalie and Paco; couldn't ask for better instructors.

    Jay and Paco were patient, knowledgeable and made the learning fun! I took the beginner learn to ride course and feel ready for the test. I hope to take an intermediate skills course next year.

    Wonderful & concise video of the expected skills for motorcycle testing. Thanks Jay. Props to Natalie my instructor who told me to study this video. Thanks. I'll always remember my experience with Ride Chicago, definitely an advantage to any rider who attends.

    Wish we had classes in the southern part of Illinois. I practiced my ass off and went to take the riding skills. Knocked over two cones,so I pulled off the course and failed myself.

    WARNING - I took the test at Elston DMV on the northside. The cone weave was very tight, much tighter than what is seen here. Plus they don't allow ANY practice at all and you'll be in line for three hours before you get to ride which basically eliminates any warm-up that you may have done before entering the parking lot. Also, with part 3, you need to complete the test within a certain amount of time (1:00) and stop within 9ft or you get points off. I did it in 1:09 with 13ft and took a 4 point penalty maximum. I'm pretty sure I stopped in around 10ft and I had maxed my first gear (250 rebel) so... be warned if you have a slower bike you might have trouble here. I passed the exam and got my M class but that cone weave was definitely more cramped at my location.

      How does part 3 take a minute? It seems like it should take less then 15 seconds? Is there something that they haven’t added?

      @@dreaded5699 It was meant to be the time to stop. Minimum 1.0 seconds... I was 1.09.

    How far apart are the cones for the Cone weave

    • @geraldgoodiii6993
      @geraldgoodiii6993 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      12’
      2’ offset
      Try doing on a touring bike it’s not as easy and takes a lot of practice
