6:50 In the Mk1, although *an electric power-roof was an option* for the final years of production it was not in all the cars, in fact very few were made with power tops. If a car has it the power-top button is located directly under the ashtray.

I own a 1989 Volkswagen Cabriolet with red exterior, black top, and gray and black cloth seats in near mint condition with the fuel injected 1.8L mill and 4 speed manual shift case..... Also has vintage German Ronel turbo R10's that give it masculine appeal, and fantastic handling. A cool ragtop for a $1,000.... Hell yeah!

No way that 1989 a 4 speed shift case was built that way out from factory. 1989 all G1Cs were built with 5 speed manual or on special order with 3 speed automatic.

I love my 01 Cabrio. I had no idea how great MK3 models were. Drove MK1 ones and in end preferred the packaging and quality of the MK3.

So many faults in this video, nice models though.
