If you go back and edit that section of the video, PG-13 was created by Spielberg in 1984 because of the backlash he faced due to public responce of the violence in Temple of Doom and Gremlins
I read, back in the day, in the fanzine Videowatchdog about this longer cut of Aliens on Laserdisc that includes the longest cut ever seen! Here's the thing that version was canceled a few hours after released so only a handful of discs were sent out. I remember the VHS copies being sold in the last pages of Fangoria. I remember that one of these scenes showed Burke cocooned and Ripley in front of him. And Burke begs Ripley to kill him and she answers that she'll rather let what's gonna happen to him happen. The director removed this scene because it showed Ripley in a cruel light. Did you know this one? Anyway outstandingly awesome collection Christian!👍
This video takes me back to how I discovered your channel. I had just picked up a laserdisc player and was looking for videos on laserdiscs and you were one of the first ones that popped up. I am sure most found you looking for horror videos, but not me.
Man,Gem after Gem..Zack at the Flee Market is the 🔌💯..I want to say The Monster squad is the one that I remember being Pg 13 but I'm sure there's 30 before it🤘
I think the reason a lot of laserdiscs have the disc outline on the cover is because they were cheaping out and just using the VHS box art/poster art image and needed to fill up the rest of the space, lol
I still love and collect Laserdiscs as well. I have a player that works, but don't play them often as I just don't have a place to set it up. LD players are just huge.
Cool LDs! I like a few Seagal theatrical ones after Hard to Kill - Marked for Death, Out for Justice, Under Siege, On Deadly Ground, Under Seige 2 & Fire Down Below. Actually, even Exit Wounds was good!
Not into older video formats so much (I gotta choose my collecting habits wisely) but Videodrome is one that I’d probably not hesitate to snatch up on VHS if I ever saw it. Obvious reasons. :-)
I started buying laserdiscs in 2020 and framing them inside LP frames. Takes up much less wall space and there is some fantastic art for special editions like Reanimator and Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 that differed from the VHS/Dvd releases
Inner space is a late 80s classic. Ive got it too on ld. Its about two competing labs working on minimizing the size of people and them being injected into a guy
After Under Siege 2 is where Seagal really started going downhill because of his inflated ego and being very difficult to work with, The Patriot (not the Mel Gibson movie) was his first venture into DTV land. "They wanted to make this with a PG-13 thinking it would help".... no it didn't help, it completely killed the franchise and what was left of Orion.... it was a VERY dumb move. Back in the 90's, the number one thing you would hear when letterbox/widescreen was discussed was this: "It's not fillin' up all the picture on ma' TV!"...... I heard this shit all the time back then.
I wish they made a truly great up conversation device so not only Laser disk looked awesome but DVD looked great too. I have a lot of DVDs and I bought when the very first one's came out. Some DVDs aren't even available on Blu-ray or 4K yet ‼️🤬
Watched you on lost river drive in. Did you know the Cleveland Indians got renamed the guardians? Heard the redskins/commanders might get the redskins logo back though. Eli Roth is Jewish, not Italian at all. Eastern Euro ancestry. Any last name with Roth in it is always Jewish in origin.
I have a million dollar question for you. Why would you want to buy a dead format like laser-disk ? And don't get me wrong laser-disk was a cool format that should have lasted longer than it did. Bc I had a friend who owned over 100 laser-disk from 1991 to 1998 when he sold them all off to start buying DVDs. And I even thought about getting into buying laser-disk but the problem is they don't make the laser-disk players anymore & if your payer breaks down you are s.o.l. Bc there are very few people that do work on players & finding spare parts is even harder to find now. But I really think they need to bring back laser-disk & start releasing films here and there on laser-disk & start making laser-disk players again that would play both bluray's and laser-disk movies
I was fortunate enough to start buying laserdisc in 2000 when it died and players were cheap so i have five players. Yes some discs get laser rot and its not perfect but its a cool format. I dont buy anymore discs, 300 discs is enough for me.
I love the history of home video and physical media. I would love to get into Betamax but unfortunately due to money and time slipping away it’s become more and more expensive to collect. Fortunately I got into laserdisc when it was still financially convenient. I love new physical media like Blu Ray and 4k, but the history and old school technology is something I have a passion for.
@@PlanetCHH we both got into laser at the right time. Still have beta hifi and super beta hifi recorders but only two, despite the quality not like laser its cool running these old players and my JVC D-VHS recorder

This comment is good enough for me lol now people know
Today is my birthday, this is the perfect video for my birthday CHH!
Happy birthday!
Thank you!
I still want to get Airport 1977 on laserdisc to watch the scene where they are watching laserdiscs on it.
Those aerobics discs could also be from Bachelor Party at the very end when they were in the multi-plex.

5:39 The 1997 DVD of T1 is a port of this LaserDisc complete with the exact same cover. It's my favorite release of the movie.

That's awesome!
Awesome dude! I buy lasersiscs and get them signed at horror conventions. They go in glass lp frames on my movie room walls. Love em
Glad to see a new laserdisc video Christian! It’s been a minute since you did one
Always good to go back to my roots

Innerspace is great, I think you’ll dig it!

I went crazy in the mid 2000's buying Laser Discs and probably own close to 1,000 of them.
I still love and collect Laserdiscs as well. I have a player that works, but don't play them often as I just don't have a place to set it up. LD players are just huge.
Uncle buck is a stone cold classic

Inner space is really fun man. You gotta check it out.
Speed 2 is excellent, Jason Patrick is pretty good in the new Stallone film Armour also.

Great pick ups and you have to watch innerspace it is a awesome watch. I love that movie.

I think that is her from part 4, I thought it before you even said it.

Are there people that can repair laser disc? I haven't been able to watch no e in over 15 years. Nice haul by the way.
It is such a shame that your player died. I would send you my us 110/240 dual voltage player from pioneer but it would probably end up damaged
