  • Quick set up guide for Hobao Hyper Vs nitro throttle servo,
    Hi welcome back to WTF Rc Cars,
    We had a request for a set up guide so here ya go :)
    Just a few things to look out for when setting the end points on the throttle servo so you don’t over work the servo or place un needed strain on the carb.

    That helped alot. I thought I had something wrong when I saw the servo tray starting to move.

      The metal servo tray posts help a lot with that too :)

    For runaway nitros, put a rubber band around carb and carb throttle rod...it'll slowly return servo back to neutral position if battery comes loose or dies and you dont have to power to servos...saves ya car from running all over the place😊

      Definitely good advice but wouldn't have worked with the run away in the hobao as the carb was fully closed it was the air leak so it just went into run away with the throttle closed :(

    Good video. I finally get it now. Its exactly what I was looking for ages. One thing I have a question though about the servo horn setting up in a straight line in neutral. When I do that I can see the carb is not closed and its way open gap. Either my linkage or my spring is too short? Anyhow I'm not sure if I'm doing correctly, but I end up unscrewing servo horn and turn it about 60 degrees. Then I screw the horn back in and the carb is now closed to its gap. I did the spring thing you did in this video leaving a little tention. Please let me know if I'm doing it correctly or is another solution. I'm putting a new engine.

      im not sure what you mean by having to move the servo horn 60° that seems a lot to have to move it.

      Well I'll try to explain it as possibly I can. The throttle linkage spring is too short. My servo horn end up in a diagonal in neutral position to put pressure on the spring so the carb can close. I notice you have two collars. One on top and end. How does that work? I guess I'm going to give that a try.

      The hyper Vs nitro I have is set up like they are from new so you should have the exact same set up on yours with the collars

    Hey mate I’ve just got into the hobby and purchased a hyper vs
    During the first tank run in process the throttle servo has jammed to quarter throttle ive tried messing around with the trim on the control but nothing works ! any advice ? Cheers mate

      If the servo is jammed and will not move at all I'd return it to the store, you can check if its the servo by unplugging both servos and swapping them over on the receiver, if the throttle then works when you move the steering bu the steering won't move when you pull the throttle then it's likely the transmitter at fault, if the throttle still won't work it's the servo :)

    Hi please can you advise how I unlink throttle on engine as I need to remove engine to fit a new pull start
    Nee to nitro so unsure.
    Great video

      Remove the collar on the servo for the throttle and then the link will slide out with the engine :)

      @@WTFRCCars thank you I’ll do that as soon as I have new pull start lol

      @WTFRCCars  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi the parts I have are only listed for the hyper Vs nitro I don't have a tq2 to test

      Just been looking at a few pictures of the tq2 sport and the steering set up is very different to the hyper Vs, the hubs and steering knuckles ain't anything like each other not sure if anything else is different though.

    hello there,my problem is that after i hit the brakes the carb gap opens..any advice?

    • @WTFRCCars
      @WTFRCCars  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's very strange as when you brake the servo is pushing the carb closed? Or do you mean after you let the brake off and the servo returns to the middle your carb is opening?

    • @TheLoufis
      @TheLoufis 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@WTFRCCars after i let the brakes off the carb opens,i made some adjustments from the transmitter it looks fine but i have no brakes now
