I think she may have also been sick. Her speaking voice has that sound like when you're recovering from losing your voice ya know? And even still she did a lovely job.
This is just incredible, I have chills from listening to the pour beauty of the her voice. I can’t quite believe that this is a HIGH SCHOOL theatre program. I wish schools in the uk would do stuff like this. Every show I have watched on your TH-cam channel is incredible. I’m blessed to have seen this. Kings Academy keep up the good channel. Absolutely amazing!! God bless you all x
Really love this! I discovered the production several months ago, and just keep coming back. I love how she takes her time with the piece. I've listened to other versions, and feel like the ladies are singing a song rather than expressing themselves through song.
Wow, this is stunning! Brittany is so skilled at both acting and singing, this was a pleasure to watch. I hope her career takes off and I hear her name again on Broadway, bravo! 👏🏻
Good Lord! She is insanely good! Not sure if that is her normal voice or if she was sick, but she invokes Heather Headley vibes! Amazing! I would love to see her in something like Caroline or Change, or Aida. She's be so perfect! (Sadly, again, the staging lets her down. This should be a very touching moment between her and Jekyll. Not a walk down stage and sing moment. It's not that kind of song. It seems this production was directed ONLY to showcase talent and not create a cohesive, character connected production. I'm glad these talented kids got to show off, but it sucks it was in a show that wasn't supportive of the overall production .)
I know this is an old post but I agree. If Jekyll had pulled away and made space prior to the "I am here alone" she could have walked to the front of the stage and it not feel off. But she's the one who pulled away from him when the point of the song is for her to get him to open up and them hopefully breaching the gap that was forming from his work. They had built that tender moment where you could see the Jekyll that loves her get coaxed out, despite his better judgement, and then the ball got dropped. You could tell the internal dialog of both characters was there but the omg climax of song must get center now made that beautiful scene suddenly face plant. Hard.
Brittany and Gregorio made a pretty good pair❤️ (not just here, even in AIDA, where Brittany played Aida and Gregorio played her servant Merry) So sweet they kissed here ^_^ Hope they will play on stage together again one day
Holy cow, she is in high school? What an incredible voice...
