You are right Delirious, Ominis Gaunt is a direct descendant of Salazar Slytherin, who was also connected to Voldemort. Gaunt family is well-known in Salazar's family tree based on the lore, people speculate the reason why Ominis is blind was because there were some kind of incest marriage that occur in his family because they really love the "pure blood" thing just like Salazar himself.

bro literally did everything he could for you and all he gets in return is distrust from you 😂 Edit: this room really makes me want to buy the game and play it... not only that but even the outfits... can see myself changing clothes for everything, like in night in hogwarts being in pyjamas, while in this room have my char be in casual clothes and stuff 😂
