It's clear that Makoto is still learning the extent of his power. That's why he can now thoroughly beat an even stronger version of Sofia without taking off his rings, just only speeding up
In the novel he tells Sofia that taking him to that dimension was a fatal mistake, each sword is like a life they had like 1000 swords, I mean he would have had to kill her 1000 times to win but being there he only had to destroy the swords and then give him the coup de grace. Shiki was able to kill Lancer because his sword is for killing dragons so he killed him instantly.
Root mentioned, that he developed the guild system. From someone, of another world origin. It's how root knew about guilds and video games and such. So it's not surprising there was a japanese katana, from another world. Plus there's the laurel kingdom. Which the representative of laurel mentioned, they have had run ins. With people from other worlds.
So, the thing about Sealy - he wasn't part of the original Hibiki party. He's basically just an adventurer that Hibiki doesn't care about. It's just a hint at her flawed character, but I shouldn't get more into that here.
Maybe we will get to see Shiki's repayment for Sealy protecting the Priestess in the anime in the last episode. With the amount of stuff left in the novel before the next arc begins.
@@qhayiyadantile3208 yea, there are 2 POV chapters related to Sealy - one is POV of Sealy himself - his death and what he saw after becoming the sword, and the other is Shikis POV taking care of Sealys family in Rotsgard. There is a lot of material they could possibly show in the last episode, but I wish they spare few minutes to show that Shiki knew how important Sealys sacrifice was, and, unlike Hibiki, he was grateful for it.
tbh, from the moment he got his mana armor, the rings are pure cosmetic and he then uses them as explosives forr his arrows, he uses his power Sakai to conceal his armor and in that also his mana, to teh point people are lead to think he has no mana, Makoto mana pool is fucking massive
holy magic can be very deadly to undead. Elden Ring has a monster called Cemetery Shade. It is a boss monsters and one holy attack kills it one shot. so Shiki could have died with one blow or the holy AOE like a dark attack Miasma holy version

Both her and Lancer thought they had a shot.... they were still trying to get strong enough to deal with Root when they don't even realize that not only Root was spying thanks to Sofia, but Root is actually keeping tabs on Makoto because Makoto is too strong. Previous episodes already laid that out.
Coat still on, Rings still on, No Water affinity, No fucks given and 0 extra power ups needed. Makoto really is broken makes me hyped for next season and a potential enemy worth all that effort. Also W Shiki.
Since all the swords in Lancer's domain are from Heroes and swordsmen he killed and based on what Makato says when he sees the sword, I thought it was possibly a summoned hero that Lancer managed to kill.
majin means "someone with supernatural power" and comes from djinn/genies. It can mean any supernatural, magical creature.. demon, djinn, sorcerers, etc. Always amazes me at how limited Japanese is, so many words with multiple meanings and so many words missing that we get a lot of loanwords or straight up English words in Japanese. Still learning the language myself but i find that interesting

I think the differences between the two styles of archery are that one is for actual combat and the other is more ceremonial.

Yumi is bow in Japanese and an azusa yumi is a sacred bow used in certain Shinto rituals in Japan.
