I believe, from what I could see, that I would not have guessed that Christmas was being celebrated from the outside decoration. The train on the inside was, of course, very recognizable as a commercial Christmas thing.
As I said, nothing extravagant. The other shopping malls that I have visited so far (like the Mall of India, the largest mall in the country) had absolutely nothing as far as Christmas celebrations go...
Also, it is a different style. I'm not surprised that a place in India would not have Christmas decorations. I've never seen any publicly displayed symbols of Hindu or Sikh celebrations where I live and there are Hindus and Sikhs here.
I think it is Diwali which is a five day festival that honors the victory of good over evil and brightness over darkness. I was in London just a couple of weeks ago and videotaped a decorated fountain during the celebrations at Canary Wharf..
