    Sakal Ban Phool Rahi Sarso || Original Version || #sakalban #qawwali #viralsong
    The song ‘Sakal Ban’ is a representation of the commencement of the Basant Panchami festival, which occurs when mustard flowers blossom in these fields. The song is penned by Indo-Persian Sufi singer and poet Amir Khusro also known as Abu'l Hasan Yamin ud-Din Khusrau.
    The series is set in the pre-Independence era (1940s). At that time, Hindu women used to go to the temple while wearing yellow garments and holding yellow flowers in their hands. However, when Amir Khusro questioned them why they were bringing yellow flowers to God, they said that they were offering mustard flowers to God in order to make him happy.
    After that, Amir Khusro went back to his instructor, Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia, and offered some mustard flowers. Even now, in Delhi, on every Basant Panchami, yellow flowers are offered at the Nizamuddin Aulia dargah.
    This is the reason why the colour yellow ( which represents the mustard flower ), is employed so brilliantly in this song.
    The actresses in the song can be seen wearing Sharara outfits. The colour palette that is used for everyone's outfit is the same; however, the design of the outfits and the arrangement of different yellow hues differentiated their outfits.
    ‘Sakal Ban’ is sung by Raja Hasan with lyrics credited from the 14th century
