Just wanted to let people know that I did decide to use the knife. It was hard but you can’t fully appreciate a knife unless you use it how it is meant to be used
I've been wanting your knife since the first time I saw your video, which leads me to watch again and again. How do I order and are you planning to come at the blade show 2022 .?
@@99Noodles I personally use a custom made powered sharpening system, but I still recommend the Lansky system (and that video you mentioned) as the right way for my customers to get started sharpening their knives!
I did the unthinkable, was nervous as hell on a camping trip to Tofino, Vancouver Island, they sold bundles of unseasoned knotted wood that I batoned this knife with a camp axe. Pounding this relatively thin blade with a 2 lb steel ax head is dumb but it took the beating just barely marring the spines Dlc coating. It's a tough blade.
I’ve been eyeballing this knife for awhile now, eventually I’ll pop on one. They look absolutely brilliant and I can respect having a dram while showing this piece.
As another person has also pointed out, it is important to remember that these custom knives are made to use. If it "looks" perfect that is great but this is made to be used. Too many reviews get hung up on the oohs and aahs of the knife. The proof is in the pudding as they say.
@@Guncleana oh dang... I wonder if it’s because he recently switched shops and is still getting set up. I also think he said he was taking a little time off at the end/beginning of the year. Maybe that plays into it also. Either way I hope you get one. They’re amazing.
congratulations! i splurged for mine a couple of years ago when he did a very rare sale(i think it was 10% off), like you i dreamed about getting one for a long time. so worth it.
Everyone always has a unboxing video byt never a hard use test. Kind of frustrating. Yes they are good looking and people say they work amazing but it'd be nice to someone actually using it in a hard use outside test. Honestly for the price at this point in time, I'm suprised he didn't upgrade to a much better steel by now.
I did actually use it when I made a video tutorial for a camping chair that I produce. If you search “Ultralight Camp Company Slacker Stool” you can see the first time it cut anything. It’s certainly not a knife video but I do use it on there.
I decided to use it. I debated it for a few days but ultimately decided that the longer I waited the harder it would be. I’ve been using it ever since.

Very much agreed mate! Glad you will be using it!

@@RIVERAEDGE Thanks very much mate! I will do my best!
Amazing

Well I can guarantee you will love it if you ever get one. I keep mine in my car and probably hold it most days. Just to hold it. I love it.
If I could afford one it would be my main backpack knife

Beautiful man, I will be purchasing one on his next drop
You can just put an order in now, you don’t have to wait for them to become available anymore. You will love it.
@@TPLeatherworks I wish I could been checking the website daily there’s no option for purchase right now says knives will be available in 10 days

Yea he makes some amazing blades without a doubt.
Congratulations! 👍🏽👊🏽
Machine made perfection. Very nice.
time for an update
Two of my favorite things....a Gough Resolute and a dram of Scotch. You obviously have good taste.
Your knives and stuff looks good too! Nothing wrong with being good to your self some times. Subbed and dinged
Thanks man, appreciate it

Man your knife making skills are pretty good

Super nice work, god job on your blades too. Also I thought I was the only one who made that filing jig
I thought the knives you made were very nice!

I can relate. :)
Maybe someday I'll have one
Amazing knife! I just feel it needs to come in a wooden box, really doesn't do it justice...
Buy a knife to use it. Give it character. Make the stories that you will tell about it.

Sounds like you got a stalker aron lol😂😂
It's expensive also to much 😫
