I agree manong George life in UK is not easy nurses are overwork with so many extended roles that nurses are expected to do specially when we speak of modernising nurses and changing roles dealing with UK’s ageing population but the good thing is it’s a good opportunity for professional development when it comes to tax it’s really a killer but the good thing is revenue goes to fund health and social care services eg. free health service free prescription free water free transport for above 60 and children, free rubbish collection etc but the most important is free healthcare n education despite high tax burden.
No…not all free..if you have children…or they study in universities….this is big burden….you will shock in tuition fee in the school….and not only that..if you have children you bring in child care…this is another big burden to your pocket…

tama ka manong george ive been a bedside UK nurse for the past 25 years its sweat and blood to get the work done. its not easy so \i decided to take the NCLEX but unfortunately i failed so many times kaya ayan nandito parin sa UK and i am planning to retire soon.

Ang masasabi ko lang. UK gov especially the NHS should review the salary of nurses. 25k per year excluding tax is so low for a regulated job.
Grabe mas malaki pa ang sweldo ng office admin. Nakakalungkot. Kung galing kang pinas mukhang malaki pero marerealize mo. Ang baba nito.
Approx yearsly salary sa ibang bansa
UAE - 38k tax free plus free housing
USA - 70k minus tax
CAN - 60k minus tax
AUS - 65K minus tax
Sa lahat ng bansang yan pinaka mahal na cost of living uk. Tapos sila pinaka mababa magpasahod.
Nasan ang hustisya. Malaki pa sweldo ng mga LORRY driver...

Manong George, are nurses who have been tested with HIV or Hepa B can work as a Nurse in UK?
Ganun din naman dito sa KSA, sarili mong patients ikaw magkecarry out lahat ng orders ng doctor. Ikaw ang mapeprepare lahat ng medications kahit narcotics pa yan or high alert/inotropes meds, ikaw lahat ang magprepare nyan. Kung wala sa floor stock yung medications ng patients mo, ikaw pa ang magrerequest sa pharmacy. Pati lahat ng lab investigations ay sayo rin. Ikaw rin ang magdadala ng patient mo sa x-ray, CT, USG, MRI, and etc. Kung may procedures pa like Foley's catheter, NGT insertions, ikaw rin ang gagawa nun. Never kaming tinutulungan ng charged nurse namin, kung gusto mo ng tulong like if obese or bed ridden yung patients ay kapwa mo staff ang tutulong sayo. I don't know kung saang hospital yang sinasabi nyong, sasabihan at tutulungan ka ng charged nurse para i-carry out yung orders para sa patients mo.
Huhuhhu parang gusto ko pong umiyak. Nagsisimula palang po ako mag gain ng experience para makapag UK. 😭

Kahit saan naman may challenges for pinoy nurses, pero kinakaya naman. We have to get out of our comfort zone ika nga. We don't want to sugar coat the realities here in UK and the video was not done to discourage future pinoy UKRNs. Nasa sayo yun how you will accept the challenge. Hello, manung George! True! Expectation vs Reality. Nung first time ko dto sa New Zealand. Akala ko okay na, kala ko madali, nde pala. Mataas din tax dto same as UK, pero worth it nmn basta plan ahead and depende sa lifestyle at gastos.
Currently manung I am on process for UK nurse and I have no nursing experience. I am following a friend na same situation dto sa Nz dti but andyan na sa UK, so hopefully. Na delay delay lang dahil sa covid at naabutan na ko ng new system sa mga exams. I am one of the people that was asking you Kuya pre covid haha un nga lang d natuloy nuon dahil sa pandemic.

Europe including Ireland is really bad for nurses. Magsisisi kayo punta na lang kayo US. Lahat kami sa batch namin nagsisi. Nag base kami sa mga vlogs when we chose to come here it's so different. Ask your friends where you want to go na nandun na. Ask them not to sugar coat what they will tell you.

Tama! That's the reality of working here in the UK. Hindi agad bilis yaman! Pinaghihirapan ... kasi magstart sa baba then pataas... I think kung gusto mo tlga yumaman depende sa lifestyle mo. Dto sa Uk mabibili m lahat ng gusto mo. Pwede kang mag book ng extra shifts para dagdag pera. Pero sabi nga ni Manong Knows Tax Tax Tax! Ayos Lang naman ang tax kasi nakikita naman kung saan napupunta.. 💗. Yung mga nagbabalak na magpunta dto, wag masyado mag expect ... basta sipag at tyaga Lang matutupad nyo dn mga pangarap nyo.

I would advice you guys if you go here in UK , make it sure you are skilled workers like electricians,plumbers,gardening,hedging, carpenters, plasterer, brick layer, oven cleaner, window cleaner, odd jobs for old people, decorating wall paper, tiler. Very well paid at £80,000 plus a year…or more than
