H Marcus - I love watching your videos. Big fan! I purchased the HS360S just to fly around my neighborhood, sometimes without connecting my phone. The RC controller actually does provide speed information as well as height and distance.
Thanks, Marcus! I had no idea how important a gimbal is on the camera! For a while I was wishing my chair had a seat belt on it. I just had to hang on to my desk to keep myself during some of the bigger rollercoasters moments. For a drone that inexpensive, it did remarkably well.
I just got this for Christmas as an entry into drones. I'm excited to fly it. Thank you for a brilliant well explain video. Shown me so much looks brilliant. I am in uk. Thanks again for well informed video l.
Got the hs360 for my birthday the other week. I’ll probably keep it until the summer then upgrade to a dji mini 2se for the summer once I’m a better pilot
another nice video!! i really scored when i got mine, right after they released this one!! has a code from holy stone and then tied it in with an immediate discount from amazon,, cost before taxes... $79.95!! yeah they caught on to that deal pretty quick and it disappeared LOL! , then in the app there is a " get your free battery" tab.. so another battery is in my possession.. the more i fly this the more i like it!!
Hi Marcus, not too many pilots doing tests on inexpensive drones. Not everyone can afford 💵💰a more sophisticated drone but would like to get out and have some fun. Thanks for taking the time to do this.👍🇺🇸
Hi Marcus! You and Captain Drone are the only TH-camrs I have seen testing out the cheaper drones. I bought a $67.00 drone just for fun and when I flew 30ft over the water it LANDED in the WATER! Then I pulled out my Mini 3 Pro and continued flying for the rest of the day. I ordered my Air 3 yesterday and I cannot wait! By the way, you did hit the record button on that droney. 🤓
I wonder if you filmed in 2.7k in 30fps would the quality look a bit better. But whata great toy and it done everything it was meant to do and for the price I don't think anyone good argue with that... Great video as usual Marcus 😁 👌 👍 🇬🇧
My first couple of drones were Holy Stone. They are at a beginner price, but with all of the app difficulties, calibration, and disconnects these are actually not that “beginner friendly”. I am glad you feature these on your channel but a low level Mavic Mini is sooooooo much better. I mean like literally 10 times better and easier to fly. Those thing have so many app disconnects and freezes it’s just frustrating and nerve racking for a beginner. Just don’t freak out when the app disconnects. The radio link is usually still connected and the return to home function on Holy Stone is pretty good. So if you lose the app you can still fly it home. Their GPS is usually pretty good though. Main thing is the app and that WIFI connection. Of course you know this so my comment is really just for the people who are drone curious. You will be doing the drone dance calibrating the compass every time.
Thanks for testing out the intelligent flight modes. I also ran out of battery so I was only able to test a few of them in my review. I never felt motivated to do the follow up yet showing the rest of those features. The code my rep gave me dropped it down to $140 so it seems that we all got different codes which is funny and also weird. As you how I also had some issues with the connection at 1/2KM which was disappointing so unless it's due to some Wi-Fi interference over the fairgrounds then it is a bit disappointing. No doubt it has better range than the other Holy Stone models except maybe the 720R which I had no issues at 1/2KM even though it is WiFi based. It is odd that the app doesn't force you to do a compass calibration on every flight. Most of them force you to outside of the high end drones like the DJI that obviously can recognize and compare abnormalities or drastic location change that would require new offsets. Maybe the Spydi is able to do that?
"We want to stay above the treeline because it would not see any trees" - I posit that it WOULD see the trees, and record them for posterity - as it did demonstrated it's undocumented Kamikaze not so intelligent flight mode.
I know it's not prefect but honestly don't think the camera is that bad yes on windy days it can be bad but on nice days like the day you had here it didn't look to bad
I like flying mine but true to comments, the videos are indeed shaky and wobbly, but flies great! Put on a stabilizer on this and they have something better. A three axis stabilized gimbal could challenge the DGI.
Marcus, Outside of the video shake (Which is really bad), the video quality on this toy is not that bad. Have you ever tried any Post video stabilizer software. I don't know ho much of the shake it will take out but there are cheap ($15.00) post flight products like "Ashampoo" that say they will take out the shake. Again though, I have to agree with what you said that a toy with these features is actually pretty amazing. I know it is not DJI quality video but for a toy it is pretty clear. Thanks for sharing.
You made up my mind to teach new ones...no avoidance, have to learn how to really fly like I had to way back, and also replaceable $!! Also...has all the camera features of the big $$$ ones to learn about. No gimbal teaches more flight control. I think a true trainer! They can make up their own mind up what to buy after that without putting someone else on the spot. Awesome follow up vid!
Sometimes scares them away though@@driewiel after their first crash...altitude hold I think is really helpful for a beginner...yhea, no GPS is needed. That first liftoff is what makes or breaks keeping that future pilot!
HaHa...yha...me..early 70' rc planes and then on to my privates and fun ever since..never did held a commercial though. Had a farm to run so did a lot of spray pilot stuff@@driewiel ...which is a learning experience in itself!! Still, fly, but just for fun, which makes the drone great for a coffee mornin'!!
Marcus, as always, great review. I've been looking at this drone and the potensic atom se. In your opinion, since I've watched both of your reviews which one of these would you recommend?. Thanks in advance.
I am going to do a review on it today it's going to be a short little but I just ordered it yesterday and is gonna be here today because who cares to pay 11$ extra for fast shipping lol
I have this drone. It is a pretty good flyer. (it's no mini2se) Mine has the speed and distance/height telemetry on the remote contrl screen. Also When I fly it with the GPS off it seems to fly way smoother not sure why but since I use it to practice flying around my park I really don't need the GPS for flying so my videos are way smoother.
Ahhh! Another Holystone Moment! I'm not sure why I felt you needed a sportscaster voiceover, but there you go. TRIVIA TEST: What do Holy Stone fanboys call themselves? "Holy Stoners" 😅😂HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA😂😅
Video cuts and freezes on mine after 1500 feet. It’s advertised to fly 2 miles. It’s not even close. It’s incredibly unstable in 5mph winds as well. This is a child’s toy at the most.

Good demo, Marcus. That little drone has interesting features as you have shown.
It's little more than a toy, but well worth it!

Yes, it's perfect for the kind of flying that you describe!
How the drone holding up n how many flights u did
Excellent video Marcus, as usual! Thank you for sharing.
Thank you, Chris! This one is a toy, but well worth it for a beginner.

I so agree with your statement. I'm glad there are decent lower priced drones like this one.

Half chrome does it as well....
There's really nothing special too these units- they all suck
@@Matanumi Yes! And that is why I sent three cheap drones to my 2-year-old great nephew. The perfect starter drones.
Just received mine yesterday, thank you for all the information.
I'm glad I could help! Enjoy that new drone!
Update on how it flies
Love mine. If in uk, there's one on raffall
The little drone flies great!
Great review and testing, Marcus. Thanks.
Thank you for watching Thanos!
Hi Marcus....Except for the jitters. The resolution was clear enough though. I'm sure this drone has it place.
Thank you Jim! It's a toy, but it flies good, and is a bargain too.

It is working good. The battery life for flying time is good so you can learn more instead of always charging it.

Amazing it can handle that altitude..thanks for being so brave to try it out for us..😊.. Question: is it Remote ud compliant?
Thank you! Because the Spydi is a sub-250g drone it is RID compliant.
