Do you think it could be similar to a ski plant? When you ski you look first, plant the pole then your body follows you round. You twist fhe top half of your body then the bottom half of your body follows you.
Hi mate, this question reminds me of an article I once read which compared the technique of surfing with skiing. Which surprised me. Because I always thought there was more similarity between surfing and snowboarding. Anyway for waveski surfing, I guess you could compare it to how you describe it, but you also have to put energy in the bottom half of your body. But that's the same for skiing of course.
