I am a lead ramp agent for a airline in the state and I know for fact that u don’t contact ATC for all those stuff... usually the ramp agent will connect ground power when plane arrives to the stand/gate and if anything wrong OPS from the airline will get in contact with u via the radio you have
I really like X plane mostly because they were there to keep us flying when Microsoft dropped the ball... and I like their small team (Austin is a hoot), but this blows the doors off of anything we’ve ever seen and it’s just the plain vanilla version. I hope X-plane survives this, but unless you’ve already invested hundreds in scenery it looks like it will be a no brainer to go to MSFS. On the plus side this should serve to get DCS and IL2 to take a look at their engines and make improvements. We’ll see! No matter how you slice it this is great for flight enthusiasts.

However, I am still switching based on what I have seen so far and anticipate, and look forward to, 3rd party airplanes, especially Pipers. I have already spent mucho dollars to order a new PC and have a new ISP lined up to get me 75Mbps. Well, there goes the rest of my pension. 😟😟

Marius Vollmer the ground power, when on the ground in the Airbus A320 works pretty much like battery, you don’t need batteries in the ground, you do ofc need them in the air, and they are obviously simulated, if they weren’t this makes no sense, they are even simulated on the A321 in FSX, so why wouldn’t they be here?

They certainly can, but that would mean to make take way more resources and lower fps to handle all that traffic, it might not sound that demanding but it really is if u add that to the whole airport.

They just need to make a zone for the ground operators and another zone for the vehicles where these zones are relative to the aircraft position and never intersect with each other. For example,an operator can be standing near the front tire while the vehicle will only visit the area near the flaps.

YES! you can assign the co pilot to do all the checklist, taxi, ACTUALLY FLY, and land at destination (Not all planes allow for the passenger rear seat view. I hope they polish that up and have people actually animated throwing the bags on the rail into the plane, and connecting the cables etc. It looks bad tbh with static people, trucks driving trough them, and teleporting cargo and such. A nitpick but its a sim after all... I think its important.
Gonna be honest, for a vanilla flight simulator it looks absolutely amazing and the fact that ground services are included is fantastic but, if I look at it objectively, a payware addon like GSX recreates a bit better the services given to a plane just leaving behind the interaction with other planes in the airport. I repeat, it looks amazing for a vanilla simulator.
I noticed the numbers on the side and front of the fuel truck are backwards - and dont feel bad - youre the 2nd of my subs today to push back with parking brake on :) Great videos

Yeah, catering, baggage, jetway, that’s all done by the airport without prompt. GPU is automatically connected by the ground crew at the gate, you don’t ask Atc for shit....

If notice the details of default ground service, which the vehicle arrived on a certain spot , it will automatically adjust it's position , just certainly not accurate at all , the baggage loader is like have invisible dude load the baggage. Yet it can be improve before release , I certainly need something like how GSX Level 2 works , accurate ground service , actual ground move in motion without get crash by something , fuel track with accurate refuel procedure and so on.

The Fuel Truck is a Rowdy one, there's one video showing the Fuel truck plowing through some bushes and doing aerial rolls, now the fuel truck is running right through people.
From what I've seen in some other videos, yes. Even air-stairs trucks at smaller airports. (I don't know if that'll be true of all airports, seems like they do.)
I remember being an AG3 on SFO last year and seeing planes up close not as passengers but as personnel under the plane seeing the staff connecting the GPU, refueling, waste collecting, Catering, baggage being taken out and loaded ahh good times very chill too. I was in the international terminal so most plane i see were 777, 787, 747, A350 and A380 mostly SQ, BA and BR. Cant to play the game and requesting for ground service lol
I know its a preview build, and it is impressive, but. I noticed a few things that are not quite right. The baggage loading was done 737 style, where the A320 uses containers. Also the catering truck would never get that close to the wing, and you also would not push back with where the truck is parked. That area has to be clear to move the aircraft. Also, I know its probably a sim use issue, but you don't call ground for any of those services. It's all done through the company (apart from push back request), and even then they happen by themselves in normal operations.
The Z rotation center point of the trucks needs to be at the rear differential not the centre of the chassis, it makes them look like they have 4 wheel steering which, of course, they don't.
I'm just happy there are all these animated ground services, with staff operating, other ground vehicles and live traffic, to make the airport more alive (without payware). I'm willing to overlook the obvious running over people and other collisions. MS/Asobo will probably improve over time.
No one talks about the failures that are in the sim. I've only seen people show the Crash or stress damage disable options. What about random failures? Can Gauges and other minor things fail? Can you make it random with a Mean time between failures etc? Using a simulator to do those Emergency situations for fun and or training surely is a big thing.
I just hope that third party can add a lot of detail and buttons to the bigger planes since that seems to be the only significant flaw in the sim right now aside from glitches which can be patched through their continuous updates.

Not so bad for an out of the box sim ! I wonder if it will be possible to use the same services using the interphone like in many airports and planes and if it will be possible to request clearance to pressurize thé hydraulics or have all the services done automaticly until the ground crew notify they're ready. Asobo did a pretty good job here ! This is the first time such a thing is included in a sim. They listened closely the community and the gamers willing to fly to visit a virtual earth !
Well, even though you have to pay for GSX within FSX/P3D...the animation is so much more adept and sophisticated. For instance, the baggage ramp driver gets out...and actually lifts bags off the baggage truck and such. So...I guess that Virtoli will indeed have a crack at porting over GSX to MSFS, if they can defeat the stock airport support animation and visuals. Very good though for stock!
I’m glad there are videos that show this new generation flight sim. I am one of many that has already pre-ordered the 2020 release. What I would like to see are those little airports and the ground services that accompany. There is no doubt in my mind that what has been shown looks fantastic. In real life the bags are thrown onto the loading conveyer, not magically appearing as they do.
Most likely, a MLP unicorn is the baggage loader on all flights, since the bags teleport from the carts onto the plane.

Not so bad for an out of the box sim !
I wonder if it will be possible to use the same services using the interphone like in many airports and planes and if it will be possible to request clearance to pressurize thé hydraulics or have all the services done automaticly until the ground crew notify they're ready.

Well, even though you have to pay for GSX within FSX/P3D...the animation is so much more adept and sophisticated. For instance, the baggage ramp driver gets out...and actually lifts bags off the baggage truck and such. So...I guess that Virtoli will indeed have a crack at porting over GSX to MSFS, if they can defeat the stock airport support animation and visuals. Very good though for stock!
I’m glad there are videos that show this new generation flight sim. I am one of many that has already pre-ordered the 2020 release. What I would like to see are those little airports and the ground services that accompany. There is no doubt in my mind that what has been shown looks fantastic. I would like to see an example of what hasn’t been showcased. Please show some “run of the mill” local airports. My request is KORF. I live in Virginia Beach,Va. This is our local airport.
Hi... Can you check if live traffic is accurately rendered? There's a good live cam streaming from Heathrow on TH-cam (London Heathrow Airport Live Arrivals and Departing Aircraft). Can you match it up with the MFS' live traffic service? Double screen comparison if you please!
