That is me, I am at the tracks every weekend practicing and racing. It definitely is paying off as my lap time's are getting better every week. Awesome tip Adam. Love your vids keep em coming bro.
Thanks adam now I know what I really need to concentrate on more. That I did not know alot about
Lol I learned a new word....I'm gonna use it (Roached Out ) thanks Adam for the advice also. Had a feeling you was gonna say, keeping your rig maintained as if you were racing it but in practice.
great vid as always brother i work on the same stuff u talk about every time i go to run practice ill have to touch on this in my live feed tonight
As always great tips. So i might share one for your videos :D. Put some soft music in the background it will give it more "at home" feel ;]
Roached Out 😂 🏎💨
Hey Adam greetings from Aus 🇦🇺great advice mate, what do you use to clean your buggy it’s absolutely spotless 👍🏻
Unfortunately here around memphis area there are no tracks, I have to drive almost 2hrs each way to get time in so normally practice is done on race day. From time to time I will take my car out to a well groomed baseball field and set up cones to get stick time.
Been using 5 minute timer really helps u improve by knowing how many laps when add laps within 5 minutes.
thanks for the video.. when you're practicing like that or even in a race, what order if any do you go through to make adjustments? For example, if you're pushing or have too much turn in, loose on throttle vs off throttle, etc? Do you start with tires, springs, shock position, shock oil, diff fluid and why?
Tires are always the first thing and also the most important. Then I like to work on the small things like ride height, toe, and camber before making big adjustments.
@@AdamDrake thank you... do you have a video or can you do a video covering issues like pushing, being too loose, changing roll center and what you do to adjust for them? That sucks if its a tire game because that just means you're dropping more money.. what do you do if you don't have the right tires?
Would love a series of videos to address issues, (Ie ) How to address push on accel, what would be the first things to look at ( the order to eliminate) to help my set up. What is the order to address first , the second etc. I see people at the track change big things to address small issues. What is the order you follow. Would love a sergers like that I can not find anything like that on TH-cam or online. I may be looking in the wrong places but can not find anything to point me in the right direction thanks
Talking about practice, have you tried simulators like VRC? If yes, what’s your feedback. It can never replace track time but does it translate to actual practice experience for a racer like yourself?
Thanks for your time Adam.
By the way, you look five years younger without the extra pounds. Nice one. 👍
Nothing to do with this video, it’s about 1year I didn’t watch your videos, and I just want to say that your weight lost is amazing!! That must be a lot of work. 👍
Hey Adam, Whats the difference between the 13/44 vs 12/42 bevel and conical gears? How do you decide on which one to use? Thanks!
Might take some serious practice on going through the cars because it takes me hours to go completely through a car. This is telling me my job and being a serious racer doesn't
have much balance to it. How long should it take to go completely through a car?
What if "Local" track means 2+ hrs away? I live in a small town. No track. Any tips on how one might improve without the means to do so?
Hey adam quick question. Someone like me who is just getting started and learning about different types of set ups. I’m thinking of buying an older buggy. Just to learn with before I go all out and get some of the newer equipment. Do you think the mbx7 is still a good choice.
Hi Adam, novarossi turbo plug are hard to come by nowadays. Is there other brands I can go with that will work? Thanks
Question. Im currently running novice am yet to win a race but I feel like its not cause I'm slow i run consistent laps on practice and typically in my qualifiers but I get caught up in the slower guys cause they are so unpredictable do you think I should bump up to intermediate I've been racing 2 years at lcrc
What are "run times"? You said focusing on them help improve lap times.
I'm kind of surprised how mentally taxing practicing is. I can only give good laps for about three minutes at a time before I run out of mental endurance.
does this mean no kevin talbots on the rc track while practicing ?? yes it does kevin, and no reverse track direction. well done adam.
Adam your one of the stepping stones of this hobby. Mugen so fortunate to have you .
Thank you very much!
