Also, in the survival beta update 1.5.146, if you go out of the Museum turn right and follow the road past the blue Pulowski Preservation Centre, their is a house at the end on the right with a sleeping bag in the upstairs room for autosaving to farm this spot. Edit: and a safe in the same room, just along the wall the sleeping bag is up against.
I was so lucky I got the explosive combat shotgun when I first started out can't remember what level but it was under 10, I'm now level 137 using the shotgun never needed a different one it's that OP
I did this with the radroaches, instead of a double barrel shotgun, I received a never ending sawed off shotgun! the was good up to level 27-28, and I still have it.
You can also access Concord civic access by going down the same hole the deathclaw pops out of. You can also go to Thicket Excavations pretty early on, do the quests there, and a legendary mirelurk might spawn. It tends to drop legendary combat shotguns
Not in this spot but I just found a combat rifle with "double damage if an enemy is undamaged" pick pocketing a friendly legendary BOS infantry man so I long range silent sniped him to take it, now made it my new long range sniper rifle, 308 ammo with 160+ base damage making that first shot over 320, then take into account 4X stealth bonus and other perks and it's over 1300 damage in one bullet! 😂
+Littlepip the Lightbringer tips on getting that much ammo? I got so much 5mm thats it reads 999 on the ammo bar, but thats only through pickpocketing...
I got a never-ending double barrel shotgun when I before level ten. I am now level 60+ and I am STILL using this weapon because of how broken it is. Literally took down the mirelurk queen in twenty blasts. All in quick succession. God I love this gun.

I tried farming legendary weapons a couple times on my first playthrough, and was never really impressed with the results. All of my best weapons I just got in random encounters. In any event, farming like this isn't as viable anymore since the huge changes to survival mode and the inability to make arbitrary saves.
Fun fact you can get the t45 power armor and mini gun before you meet Preston you gotta go to the top of the church and jump on the wing of the helicopter that’s crashed on top of the building Preston is in you can usually make the jump the first time I recommend jumping over in 3 person because in 3rd person you seem you jump higher and cling on the things on the wall
When i start a new game i dont end up leaving sanctuary until about lvl 20. Well the first legendary monster i killed over at Olivia satelite station dropped an explosive handmade rifle on my current char. This is good because im going to be using automatics. Bad because i cant use it forever because you cant get the ammo outside of nukaworld as far as iv seen.
My first play through I got the explosive auto shot gun on my second day. This last playthrough I got it after completing all main quest. I love that weapon.
Bleeding Shotgun was always best for me. Brought down swan with 2 shells at level 20. Seemed like every pellet did its own bleeding damage that would stack. Seemed like it
Yeah, but so does the explosive. With Demo perk, explosive bobblehead and advanced receiver, that's 34.5 explosive damage per pellet with 10 pellets for 345 total. And it staggers and is area effect, so it does 345 damage to EACH BODY PART! Bleeding weapons don't dismember five raiders with one shot.
This would work on Beta Survival as well, as there is a house on the same side of the street as the Museum but in the other direction with a Sleeping bag in it. It adds a minute or two to the reloads but you could still farm a legendary here on that setting. Tested at level 6 and while my Legendary spawn ratio was horrible, I blame it on Luck 3. After many attempts, I got a 3 crank Musket with an instigator effect. Giving a level 6 character 180 alpha damage with no perk points in Rifleman.

Neil Schofield I suppose its after you meet preston since when you leave the museum in power armor you need to kill the deatchclaw. I'll assume the deathclaw activates legendary enemy system. Dont know how but seems logical that way.
If you want Legendary weapon try Cricket the crazy girl weapon call Spray n pray location found Bunker Hill, Outside Vault 81, Outside Warwick Homestead, Outside Diamond City, Outside Fallon's department store, and Outside Quincy police station. The other easy way is Trade caravan post by ask Dep for a job after complete her mission, talk to Kessler and she give you mission quest call Prep School after complete the mission you will unlock Trade caravan post is located Resources > Miscellaneous, Materials for item (1) Steel and (4) woods so that it there are still people still play FO4 and the new player who brought this game.
OKe, some numbers on my try :LVL 6( lower then lvl 6 you have 0% chance on legendary) . MODE: very hard. RUNS: 48. LEGENDARY SPAWNS(1 spawn/run) 18. WEAPONS DROP: 7. (3 muskets, 1 cane, 1 tire iron, 2 pipe.) Ended up with the explosive pipe after 2 runs quicksave. Hope this helps if you want to try this, make sure you have some time to spare :)

i know how it works, i usually stalk the nat. guard train yard. every time "cleared" goes away, i go pick up another cool item. i tried this spot a dozen or so times and never got a leg. rad roach. level 10 or 11. low luck. idk. bummed.

I found an explosive double barrel shotgun before reaching lvl 10...still my main at lvl 70... It made the game so easy at higher difficulty, i named it "The simplifier".

When I did Rhys's mission for the BOS in cambridge at first I found a combat knife that did extra damage against chouls on my second playthrough I found a double barrel shotgun that didn't have to reload so I managed to defeat swan very early on
Explosive effect no longer rolls on Double Barrel Shotgun so don't even try, you'll waste your time like I did. Wish I knew before wasting so much time. Not scrolling through 40 patch notes to find out when it was removed because some lazy editors couldn't copy and paste text in one place.
The best double barrel shotgun is unlimited one ofc, with that high dmg output and no relod, it just recks everything. Explosive one is strong ofc but takes too much time which lowers dps
+Drama Queen In terms of flat DPS, sure. But there is more to take into account for most people than just flat DPS. An explosive double barrel might have less DPS but you will be doing more damage per shot not only conserving ammo but giving you the time to aim and place your shots to make them count. Plus an unlimited shotgun doesn't make that huge awesome deep bass water splash explosion when you shoot it into the water like an explosive shotty does ;)
On my very first playthrough level 2 I got a explosive hunting rifle with 29 308 ammo then I went further into the area then I got a assassin laser musket with 22 fusion cells with no mods at all
6/11/2021 I do not think this works anymore. I have been trying on Xbox One for over an hour and not even seen a legendary. Edit: I started a new playthrough and it works now.
I just tried on Xbox One at levels 3, 7, and 10 and never even saw a single radroach let alone any legendaries. Just a mirelurk and the molerats at the other end of the tunnel.

@@theinsaneshecklador6598 Try starting a new character on very hard, scaping a ton of metal and wood at Sanctuary to make enough wire fences and fence posts to get to level 6, go help Preston, and once he leaves give the sewer a dozen tries using the video method. If that does not work I'm stumped.
There is a sleeping bag you can rest in coming in to town via the main road (The one that runs out of Sanctuary and past the Red Rocket.) to save on survival mode. It's not the best farming spot as you can go several times without getting a legendary, and most of the drops are early game crap weapons. Still, a luck/perception & agility/etc piece of leather or metal armor right off the bat isn't bad in survival. A number of the weapon affixes are nice as well.
Since the Far Harbor DLC, the spawn rate and drops in this spot seem much reduced. On survival mode at level 9, I did 100 entries to the sewer. Of those, 17 legendary roaches no others (mirelurks or mole rats). I got 1 explosive 10mm, 1 VATs pool cue, 3 junkie DB shotguns, 2 exterminator DB shotguns, 1 hitman's pipe rifle, 1 exterminator tire iron, 1 assassin pipe rifle, 1 acrobat metal leg, 2 mutant slayer pieces, 1 chameleon leather arm, 1 sprinter leather leg, 1 fortified arm, and 1 troubleshooter chest.
Have you gotten any other weapons from this location? Combat shotguns, pipe or 10mm pistols? Assault rifles? Or is it lower-tier weapons because it's low level?
+biostemm ironically pipe rifles may be low tec but i got a legendary explosive pipe rifle after i got a kneecapping gatling laser. legendary pipe rifles are pretty hard to obtain
I'm not a low level anymore and I didn't use this spot, but I think I found 1 of trolliest legendary weapons out there LIKE the freezing flamer... I found a never ending double barrel shotgun
once I decided to man up and play new survival from lvl 1 I farmed that area for FOUR HOURS NON STOP!!!! I found a bleeding pipe pistol, needless to say it was my primary weapon until I was around lvl 25! I'll never farm like that again, but for 1 and only time it was worth it. Just too bad I couldn't get a bleeding 10mm :( that would have probably lasted until I was in the early 30's.

Haven't found a single Legendary Enemy yet (43 Tries) and I am on Hardest difficultly, but to increase your chances further, go and kill the MireLurk down below
Lvl 65 - > Has never bin into Civic Access (-_-) but I already have some insane weapons but still.. I have no weapons with the legendary exsplosive enchant. I have some awesome legendary melee weapons and rifles.
I just not getting much luck with legendary drops at moment I am level 34 and the best I got was a wounding missile launcher, kneecapper combat shotgun and two shot 10mm pistol

I managed to get a explosive pipe pistol really early in the game and because the ammo is so common I still use it now.
Make it to a rifle citizen, Protect and Serve

I also just can’t get it in explosive. Litterally everything else but explosive
two questions plz answer soon: Do the roaches still appear if youve been here already and killed everything? Im lvl 112 at the moment and im looking for a good legendary combat shotgun to finish off my weapon build. Also, how does loading an autosave and the other save affect this glitch?
the "loot lock" do not work anymore, if you reload the autosave you get the same item with the same legendary prefix.

After I got my explsoive 10 mm gun I just threw out every other gun except my sniper laser musket and just sticking with those two.
When I did Rhys's mission for the BOS in cambridge at first I found a combat knife that did extra damage against chouls on my second playthrough I found a double barrel shotgun that didn't have to reload so I managed to defeat swan very early on
Explosive effect no longer rolls on Double Barrel Shotgun so don't even try, you'll waste your time like I did. Wish I knew before wasting so much time. Not scrolling through 40 patch notes to find out when it was removed because some lazy editors couldn't copy and paste text in one place.

Still works got a Legendary to spawn 8.14.16 it was a arm mod, took 5 tries btw.
The best double barrel shotgun is unlimited one ofc, with that high dmg output and no relod, it just recks everything. Explosive one is strong ofc but takes too much time which lowers dps
+Drama Queen In terms of flat DPS, sure. But there is more to take into account for most people than just flat DPS.
An explosive double barrel might have less DPS but you will be doing more damage per shot not only conserving ammo but giving you the time to aim and place your shots to make them count.
Plus an unlimited shotgun doesn't make that huge awesome deep bass water splash explosion when you shoot it into the water like an explosive shotty does ;)
On my very first playthrough level 2 I got a explosive hunting rifle with 29 308 ammo then I went further into the area then I got a assassin laser musket with 22 fusion cells with no mods at all

I do not think this works anymore. I have been trying on Xbox One for over an hour and not even seen a legendary.
Edit: I started a new playthrough and it works now.
I just tried on Xbox One at levels 3, 7, and 10 and never even saw a single radroach let alone any legendaries. Just a mirelurk and the molerats at the other end of the tunnel.
@@theinsaneshecklador6598 Try it without going in that spot or the hole the Deathclaw pops out of. I started over my game on very hard and gave it a try, after a few attempts it worked. I was level 6.
@@hallofguns8174 What do you mean without going in that spot? I used a fresh character that had never gone in that sewer at all. I hadn't even met Preston or spawned the deathclaw. Maybe I need to spawn the deathclaw to make it work?
@@theinsaneshecklador6598 Try starting a new character on very hard, scaping a ton of metal and wood at Sanctuary to make enough wire fences and fence posts to get to level 6, go help Preston, and once he leaves give the sewer a dozen tries using the video method. If that does not work I'm stumped.

There is a sleeping bag you can rest in coming in to town via the main road (The one that runs out of Sanctuary and past the Red Rocket.) to save on survival mode. It's not the best farming spot as you can go several times without getting a legendary, and most of the drops are early game crap weapons.
Still, a luck/perception & agility/etc piece of leather or metal armor right off the bat isn't bad in survival. A number of the weapon affixes are nice as well.

Since the Far Harbor DLC, the spawn rate and drops in this spot seem much reduced. On survival mode at level 9, I did 100 entries to the sewer. Of those, 17 legendary roaches no others (mirelurks or mole rats). I got 1 explosive 10mm, 1 VATs pool cue, 3 junkie DB shotguns, 2 exterminator DB shotguns, 1 hitman's pipe rifle, 1 exterminator tire iron, 1 assassin pipe rifle, 1 acrobat metal leg, 2 mutant slayer pieces, 1 chameleon leather arm, 1 sprinter leather leg, 1 fortified arm, and 1 troubleshooter chest.
theres s spot like this in dunwich borders when you get t the area with ghouls..i had at least 5 legendary ghouls within a few minutes
you can get the explosive double barrel shot gun from a shinth near the hospital
Have you gotten any other weapons from this location? Combat shotguns, pipe or 10mm pistols? Assault rifles? Or is it lower-tier weapons because it's low level?
+biostemm ironically pipe rifles may be low tec but i got a legendary explosive pipe rifle after i got a kneecapping gatling laser. legendary pipe rifles are pretty hard to obtain
I'm not a low level anymore and I didn't use this spot, but I think I found 1 of trolliest legendary weapons out there LIKE the freezing flamer... I found a never ending double barrel shotgun
you can also get there going into the cave the deathclaw comes out of in concord
The one time i want a 10mm i get a never ending shotty. An explosive shotty, Wounding Pipe Rifle and a Kneecapping Pipe rifle. Sooooo fucked

im level 50 and I wanted a low level spot to make a sawed off calibrated powerful double barrel even more op with the lucky effect
I've been trying this for hours. About every twenty loads I'll get a legendary bug but they drop everything but a shotgun.

once I decided to man up and play new survival from lvl 1 I farmed that area for FOUR HOURS NON STOP!!!! I found a bleeding pipe pistol, needless to say it was my primary weapon until I was around lvl 25! I'll never farm like that again, but for 1 and only time it was worth it. Just too bad I couldn't get a bleeding 10mm :( that would have probably lasted until I was in the early 30's.
I once had one until my profile got deleted when I reinstalled fallout :(
+N0mad2676 00 lvl 31, using oversearers guardian as my primary now, freezing Chinese officer sword as a secondary. last I played I think I found a nocturnal combat rifle....obviously that's gonna become my main weapon.

Lvl 65 - > Has never bin into Civic Access (-_-) but I already have some insane weapons but still.. I have no weapons with the legendary exsplosive enchant. I have some awesome legendary melee weapons and rifles.

I just not getting much luck with legendary drops at moment I am level 34 and the best I got was a wounding missile launcher, kneecapper combat shotgun and two shot 10mm pistol
