EIGHT-YEAR-OLD JUMPS OFF TERRIFYINGLY TALL WATERFALL IN JAMAICA | DAY NEARLY ENDS IN DISASTER

We did not know what to expect when visiting Jamaica for the first time as a family on our Royal Caribbean cruise aboard the Oasis of the Seas cruise ship. We knew that everyone typically visits Dunns River Falls in Ocho Rios but we had heard great things about the Blue Hole excursion and so we wanted to try it out. We had no idea how incredibly amazing it would be as we scaled waterfalls and jumped off cliffs into giant blue pools of turquoise water. It was truly the best of all worlds with a mix of adventure, adrenaline, thrills, and even some terrifying and tense scary moments. We were so proud of our kids for being so brave and adventurous jumping off the tallest cliffs and highest heights. But the day nearly ended in disaster when Dad slipped and fell from one of the cliff sides, tumbling down rocks to the water below. We were just grateful to make it back to the ship safely and in one piece, even though shortly after his terrifying tumble Dad ripped a muscle in his right arm rendering it useless the rest of the day. But that will have to be a story for another time. #ThisIsHowWeBingham #TIHWB
