Very cool that you guys found a sponsor! 😀👍
Also glad to see a more regular episode again, as I was getting a little tired of the toy hunts, which, while a fun concept, were pretty pointless (and sometimes even slightly frustrating) to me living in Europe. Keep it up! 😉

I remember when toys were just toys and not crowdfunds and exclusives and collectibles in order to rip off ' adult ' collectors .

Great vid guys👏🏽👏🏽 I feel if its done right its very heplful to ppl who dont wanna spend 3x the regular cost for certain figures. However lackluster reissues are just wasting their money and our time lol!!😂💪🏽💯

Nate taking shots at the fingerless gloves gets me every time. lol
Personally I'm excited for the Mafex reissues. Picked up Gambit and Psylocke last year and will be getting Wolverine when he drops. Sadly, I am not hearing any news about a Cyclops reissue. Maybe we get lucky and get a 2.0 release with improvements? Not sure if Mafex has even done that before though. As for reissues in general, I'm ok with anything, even Haslabs or exclusives. I get why people would be opposed to certain reissues but I'd rather have a secondary market free of scalper prices tbh.

I’m someone that collects a little bit of everything, from Marvel Legends to NECA, SHF, Mafex, other imports, only one company I collect from seems to have cemented a permanent spot at retail: Jakks Pacific. They ALWAYS have Mario and Sonic available with the other characters that come out with their waves, and constant reissues for some others. It’s easy for new collectors to get in at ANY time. The fact that as a Spider-Man fan, I can’t walk in to Target and pick up a Spider-Man ML is ass-backwards. Why would I get the villains if I can’t get Spider-Man himself? Tamashii Nations is headed in that direction with the evergreen main characters at Targets for $35, but I still have trouble finding those consistently. These toy companies NEED to communicate when the MAIN characters are coming around if they want new people to jump into these lines. Kudos to Mafex for rereleasing a bunch of figures, more people picking up Mafex Batman means more people exposed to the line so we can keep getting more characters.

I'm all in favor of reissues. I consider myself a collector, but I care little for the supposed value of my figures, as I primarily collect for fun, 'cause I enjoy the hobby and the toys. I would even say more and wouldn't be sad at all to see the investor and reseller type of collectors go away. What turns me off are not reissues which might lower the theoretical value of my figures (which I'll likely never sell anyway, so I don't care), but stuff selling out, ridiculous second market prices and hard to find exclusives. When I feel it becomes too difficult and expensive for me to follow a line (remember, Europe here), that's when I might quit. McFarlane's recent trend of bringing out a chase (platinum) for every single figure is a good example of how not to do things. Bobby Vala thinking of limiting some figs to conventions is another example.
Not sure I agree with the Marvel bankruptcy comparison. There were quite a bit of reasons for that. It's actually quite well documented. Comics are not a good comparison to begin with. Reprints of a comic will rarely devalue the original first print. Heck, for more modern comics second and third prints not rarely end up being more valuable than first prints as they usually have lower print runs.
